proXPN VPN for Android
Been using proxpn for a while now, love the service but the Android app has the connection disconnect after a period with no notification or reconnection. Still recommend mainly for the desktop version but would like to see a way to solve mobile random disconnection.
Using the OpenVPN app didn't work either. However I did figure out the problem. It's Google WiFi assistant. I had to check off Always-on VPN. Once I did that I was able to use ProXPN.
I like the app. I am a premium subscriber. But it does not have 'always on VPN' feature in settings which is a bummer and feel it is a necessity feature. I contacted support and did not hear back. But the service will drop connection sometimes and says I am disconnected when I am not.
The app do its work and not much more, and the UI doesn't have anything special, but it works. When activated for long time it gets disconnected and doesn't reconnect. It needs a kill switch.
Hey I've got some problem to pay billing using telkomsel billing from indonesia.. can you fix it? But I'll still give you 5* coz your vpn works good on pc, but please fix it.
In country speed.(5mbps/100mbps). Out of country.(≈5mbps). The speed will characteristically fade in/out. These tunnels will get leaky with loss of signal.
Premium user and unable to sign into my account. No logon option and has me as free user or pay for a plan. Again no option to sign into my account --- ARGH!!!
With the Premium version and everything that comes with it, I love everything about it; however, I am just wondering: will there ever be any support for Tasker? Thank you very much :D
Love the service! Had it for a few years now. I only have one little critique... please add a feature of showing the signal strength like on the PC version and I'll give it a 5.
I cancelled my subscription back in January. I forgot to remove the autopay feature, and I was charged in February, much to my surprise. After I cancelled, you might have thought that, when they asked for feedback on my cancellation, that they would have the basic courtesy to send a reminder: From the app store page: "Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase" But no they didn't, and they have dug their heels in. I freely admit that technically the burden is on me to turn off the autopay, but is this really your customer service, friendly business strategy? I am paying a $75 dollar fee for a service that I am not using, that I cancelled due to dissatisfaction, but you are still keeping my money? PayPal, unfortunately, sided with the merchant. You might think that keeping the charge and not reversing it is somewhat shrewd. Maybe it is. However, I have been working in the banking industry for 30 years, and my sense is that such strategies do not end well.
I used to like these guys since they advertised on Security Now but the app worked for only one night after which it forgot all about my subscription - useless.
have had this VPN (premium) for a couple years now. It has been touch and go at points but for the price I'm satisfied.

Works until you upgrade the account. They dont give refunds.
Didn't work. I tried to watch an American serie on freeform and it kept saying I wasn't in the USA so couldn't watch it.
Paid for subscription but not activated . No benefit . Not happy

Overall I have been very happy with the service. I have had an issue here & there but usually resolved by restarting the app. I had a particularly difficult time at a hospital that just didn't like it. Tech support was quick to help me configure a manual connection that resolved the issue that I was having trying to use the apps UI. I have recently asked about getting a notification on disconnect. If the wifi that you are using drops & picks up proXPN disconnects but doesn't reconnect & you may not notice
I just have bought a lifetime membership at a good price, ping speed is surly not the best, the android app kept in crashing, had to refresh the phone's memory then it worked fine. I am not impressed with the "full speed" they mentioned for premium members as per their website. I have already issued a trouble ticket and awaiting feedback. UPDATE: this app keeps on crashing everytime I try to login! Awaiting for feedback from developer team
LGMS631 LG G Stylo MetroPcs. Marshmallow 6.0 It worked after the latest update, then just stopped working. The app opens but won't connect to any server. I clicked connect.. It immediately disconnects. Aside from that, it's a great app.
I paid for a monthly Android Only subscription just two days ago and now the app won't see it. If I click on the upgrade link in app, then Google play gives an error saying I already have an active subscription. This issue has been reported in the app reviews for over a month and there doesn't seem to be an update since. I am giving 24 hours for resolution and then I am reporting this app to Google. I used to love ProXPN. ***Update***Three days later, still no resolution. Dropping to a 1 star.
Paid for account no not being upgraded. Can not login as user name and password never provided. See many people have this issue. DON'T BUT IY
Most times, I am able to connect with my phone but my laptop won't connect at the same location.
Does not recognize purchase. Customer support is non existent. No vpn, no refund. Nothing works, including tech support. Do not use.
At least sometimes... Program generally works well but tends to get quirky if a lot of traffic
I WAS having issues at work nut easy fix on protected networks: turn wifi off the open app. If any server info needs updating it will update over 4g. turn wifi back on and go.
Open the app and it just stays on the blue screen
Does nothing, doesn't even progress past splash screen.
Always works well on my PC with lifetime membership, app leaves me disappointed and only works when it wants to actually recognize your network connection.
The speeds could be a little better

Crashes often. Bad UI design. Unable to use UDP.
Works with my pc and phone, refuses to work on tablet. And now netflix is blocking xpn, cannot access streaming material using a vpn

Got this app so I could use and watch Sling TV while on holiday in Scotland from the states. I paid for the app here on Google Store and it seemed to work okay while here in Utah on my Nexus 6. Once I was in London, the app would not log in and said I wasnt a valid user and password. I emailed Tech Support for help, but never received a reply to my email. So all I can say is that I lost $6.99 for a worthless month of access that I could not receive.
