HortiBeacon

Hortibeacon is used to provide information about places that you visit. Very simple application where you select the place you are at and as you approach trees, shrubs or artefacts that you are interested in you simply touch a button get detailed information, pictures and audio if available for that item.

This application use iBeacons strategically placed near items of interest and complements other methods of sharing information that we use such as NFC (Near Field Communication) and QR.

There are places that do not have 3G/4G or WiFi and as such are not "connected". For this instance we have the static horti-tag viewer in this application. So when a NFC enable mobile touches a ZipNFC static horti-tag this application will be launched and the information will be shown.
