Provident Credit Union Mobile for Android
So frustrating that photo deposit does not work. Since I changed to the Samsung S7, I have not been able to deposit a single check. It warns about a clean picture, but it doesn't matter how many times you take the picture, it doesn't work. The pic is perfect, but the deposit fails. Very very frustrating, as this is the point of the app. I was using my old phone to make deposits or have to get to the bank now because my old phone broke to make a deposit. Please fix this. Very very annoyed.
It works on my device, but it's very frustrating to deposit checks with the app, as the only auto focus point is the center where most checks I deposit don't have any contrast. There's no way to preview the check image. Personally, that's the only feature in the app I wanted to use, as I can check/transfer balance on the web site.
It used to be awesome but now I can't deposit my checks anymore! Keeps kicking me out asking me to sign in again when you select take a picture of your check. I removed reinstalled it and still have to same problem. Even contact tech support but no luck. )-:
Used to work fine, and the iOS one still does, but on Android it started saying the connection is untrusted. Time to send this one back to the developers, Provident. Lots of people reporting issues.
I've tried opening this app for 2 days now. Uninstalled it and re-installed it. Used both my network and wifi and it says Connection not Trusted and force quits. Wth? Galaxy S7.
Does just the basics, the app does have several problems though. It does not have fingerprint login option. It also does not close on its own, just by signing-off and pressing "back", the only way to close it is to kill it from running apps' list :-(
Fingerprint would be cool. Some trouble with phone check deposites. Other than that the app works well for me.
Can't use the app. A message shows up saying this app is unsafe to use
App continually crashes. This makes it extremely difficult to use. The app is completely worthless.
Should update the UI and fix the deposit check system. Also after pressing sign on it just stays on the loading screen and won't log in
This Applicatio does not O"pen on my phone
Now working again
This app doesn't work on my phone. Keeps saying this app can't be trusted. Very disappointed
This feels like an app of the last decade. If it were not for the 2% on checking deposits... I would have closed my accounts long ago. Need to improve the UX, check deposits, show pending transactions, and fingerprint ID.
PCU is on the right track to delivering a great e-banking experience
Fix your app it keeps crashing!!!
Cannot log in. Message states the connection is untrusted.
This app is so buggy I hate it. I have to go into the bank to deposit my check every time because of this garbage. Not to mention the whole layout is ugly and the aspect ratio is always off.
I have a Motorola Turbo, and this app can barely stay open 30 seconds on it.....
Constantly crashes
4 starts when you add pattern locks to your security; 5 stars when you add fingerprint locks
Does exactly what I need it to do and more.
I have to reset my password constantly because it never recognizes it. Then it locks me out and I have to reset. I tried to log in again and it did it again! Yes, I typed it in very carefully and always the same..locked me out again! Now it lacks up when trying to take a picture of check to depisit. Your app sucks!
(Using HTC One M7) --- Locator doesn't list all banks in network (like Bank of the West); Filtering not reliable; contains plenty of surcharged locations; lists locations that no longer exist (I drove in circles finding the only available location that accepted deposits at the time. Turned out to not exist). --- I like Provident, but considering its branches are sparse, the network locator feature is essential but unreliable.
And I have a decent camera in the Nexus 6P with good lighting condition. The same checks that weren't recognized by this app were later recognized by the ATM at my local Provident branch, so there's definitely a lot of room for improvement for this app.
Can't open after update. Crashes. Booo!
No longer partnered with other credit unions through the co-op.
You've fixed the Camera API. The camera for depositing checks was upside down in the App. Now fixed! This is on the new Nexus 5X running Android 6.0.
I'm on a galaxy s5 and whenever I enter the amount for the check then press the "front side of check picture" button it immediately crashes. Will update review when problem goes away.
For more than a month now, if the app doesn't crash upon attempt to open, it crashes when you try to do check deposits. It's a bummer. Get kicked out and "access denied" so you can't even try again, assuming because it looks fishy to login multiple times.
Works great on both of my devices along with the check deposit! I only wish the app allowed the image of e-checks to be viewed after they have been deposited!
looks like a lot of people have problems with check deposit crashing. works ok for me on a Nexus 5X, but the camera image shown in app is upside down and inverted, which makes positioning the check a little difficult. needs an update to work with the latest android camera
Really like the app, but one of the major perks is check deposit. On my galaxy s6, this function continues to cause the app to crash. Another benefit would be the ability to see how I'm doing on super rewards checking requirements. Please update!
Mobile deposit only seems to work with older versions of android. I'm on 5.0.1. Prior to me upgrading os it functioned.
Rated higher again now that he has removed request for contacts.
It won't deposit any checks
Please add fingerprint authentication support.
Crashes whenever I try to deposit check on Zenfone 2
Please update the app so check deposit works with Nexus 5X. Camera images are upside down and mirrored.

Cannot make deposits. Even though the camera shows a focused, sharp image when taking a picture, the app still rejects the deposit. There is no function to review pictures taken to ensure that the image is good. Ended using another credit Union's app to deposit my checks - I suppose Provident didn't want my deposits. If you have a Super Reward checking account, you cannot check your qualification progress on the app either.
