Protein Tracker for Android
that's what i was looking for.. just a simple app where i can add my food individually.. only things to improve in my opinion: e.g. 10.5g instead of only 10g and a little history to see what i ve already tracked.. hope it will follow an update soon.
App doesnt reset every day so I'm stuck just adding protein amounts to what's already on there. No way to clear it either... That's a HUGE issue!!
Just hold the back button down on your phone to get the options /settings. Android screwed it, not the app. App works perfectly still
I am unable to reset the counter for the next day nor am I able to add items to the menu. Of these two features worked, this would be a great app.
This app is titled "Protein Tracker". It does that job well. Seems the developers gave up on this damn good app and never fully finished it. It never got an option to reset the day for the newer phones. It's been over a year, guys. Come on... I uninstalled the app.
Useless app. "Search web" doesn't seem to work and there only 8 products on the menu.
Way too basic and unintuitive. Uninstalling. I needed something for tracking vegetarian foods.
Was good on my older phone. Does not let you add your own items on newer phone. Was a 5 now i rate it a 1. Needs updates!
Only allows you to track one day. Worthless.
I used this app one day and the next day I went to enter items and it was still on the first day. There is no way to go to the next day, no arrows or anything. Pretty pointless. When you manually enter something all you can do is type the number of grams of protein, you can't type what food it was for. Not convenient when you are forgetful of what you've entered so far.
The content of the app is simple and its great but it fails to reset each day which is the whole point in counting protein please fix this, Its not as if I have an older smart phone aswell I have a Samsung galaxy s7.
Had to convert lbs to kg to enter weight, entering protein intake manually is kind of silly and there is only a small list of foods to choose from.
I cant reset it. It doesnt start again from 0 but keeps saying i passed my goal by... And its been a week.
It does well to log 1 day. Originally there are settings one can do/ change but NOT ABLE to relocate them without uninstal the app. Very disappointed cuz it seemed good. Once you reach your goal or not for the day it doesn't reset for the next day like at midnight which would be logical. No apparent way to trash/delete day or previous day. It could possibly depend on what device the app is loaded on but then SHOULD SAY....works ONLY on X,Y & Z brands/ models. Not LG2/Android
You only have about 10 different menues and you can't add others or edit the existing menues (quantities or percentage of protein!) I prefer my Excel-list!
I loved this app on my Galaxy Note 3 because it had a menu button. The Note 5 doesn't have a menu button (bottom left). I can't add items to the menu, search the Internet for items or simply clear the day out. It really needs to be updated to accommodate the new devices! I'm disappointed I can't use it now.
It is really easy to use and great app if only i could get it to reset to back to zero, is anyone else having the problem of not being able to reset it to start the next day?
Please Fix so it resets everyday, app is totally useless if it doesn't start on zero each day. I'm supposed to uninstall and reinstall everyday to use?
One of the best apps I've used to track my protein intake. Simple, easy, and no ads
I can add new items but then I can only pick an amount of proteins. However, I cannot say out of out. Is it 8gr of protein in 100gr or in one item of food? It doesn't let me say. I WOULD LIKE to be able to add decimals :///
The app is good by it's idea. But there isn't an option to reset the counter or add more things in the menu
Wouldn't reset for my next day
Very good app, personally see huge potential in it to develop and grow its popularity, please produce some new features maybe even more food columns, thank you.
Does what you need it to do. Very simple and straightforward to use. Can select from a list of proteins or customize your own entries for those meals you eat often (on top of just manually entering your own protein intake). I'd have maybe three suggestions: 1. Be able to have the tracker automatically reset everyday. 2. Be able to see your itemized history of the proteins you had for the day. 3. Settings for non-metric measurements for us lazy Americans.
Just got a new Galaxy 6 phone and the app does not work anymore! Unable to reset anymore. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times. I give up. Moving on to the next best tbing. Any suggestions?
Did exactly what it said it would. I've read poor reviews. People either complain of things that don't exist (inability to customize) or they're complaining about things it never said it would do.
The info page says that you can search the web and add foods and that you can edit the preset menu. Of there is a way .... I can't figure it out. And I'm not technically challenged! Used for a day... Then wanted to reset the protein consumed the previous day... No way to clear it....dumb.
I started tracking and the next day it just kept adding. No instructions and no evident way to start a new day.
One more star if there was a way to save the calculations. Not necessary but, would help me to notice trends with my protein consumption. Well done!
very helpful esp being vegetarian and lifting weights. being able to put my own menu items eg. tofu 100g = 14g. 3 slices of cheese = 7g. 1 egg, 100ml milk, choc, half falafel box etc!.. anything u eat! just put in the food items and the protein u get from it, easy. the only thing i dont like is u cant view a list of what u have put in during the day so far, so if u forget to put your 10g from say a nut bar, or if u did but later think u might have forgot, there is no way to tell if that item is part of your total.
Okay so far good app, although i have no clue on how to add entries or even start a new day someone care to fill me in?
3* because It worked great on my last phone. but on a Note 4, there's no way to reset it back to 0. 3 days later and I have 675g of protein. I'd rather do day to day
It's not like "my fitness pal" where you can scan barcodes of labels and it'll pop up. There aren't enough foods available to choose from.

This would be perfect if you could do the same with Fat, Carbs, and Calories. All need a manual entry option, of course. Your biggest competition is Nutrition Tracker, btw. They figured it out.
There's not enough to choose from and can't save own food
Ummm. ... aerobic and.... UNAEROBIC? Come on now....
I would like it better if I could reset the calculator without having to delete and re-add it.
