Camera Guard™ Webcam Blocker

It WAS working until earlier today. Only stopped working with my text app tho. (I think) I noticed it when I went to send someone a picture and it didn't stop me. Normally I have to turn it off or whitelist the app, which I don't like to do. Someone was at my home today but they didn't have my phone. Is it possible for someone to do that? Enable or override my messaging app? Which is Signal by the way. I have the $2.99 version if that makes a difference. I've had your app.for about a month and a half-two months. Plz let me know what caused this. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still won't work?

Works like a charm, have had no hacker attempts yet. It's very handy to have, I use this on unsecure Wi-Fi and at home even. Cause I'm so paranoid, jk, It's a great app and even blocks for youtube. No complaints.

I wouldn't be without it. Pro version is well worth the extra, I really had no idea that countless apps had permission to take pictures on my phone. Thank you for the awesome app, I feel better knowing no one can take pics of me while I sleep with my phone without me ever finding out. Absolutely frightening

I like this app so much that I purchased the pro version. I had no idea how many apps were turning on my cameras without my knowledge! It's crazy how much privacy we are willing to give up!

At first i was unsure but after two weeks i purchased the full version.defiantly one of the best apps i have ever seen or had.i dont write reviews on anything,but this app is 100% badasss.thanks to the developer's on this one...!!well done

I've been using this for a couple of months. I was just bill paying and accidentally clicked "scan a new card" and *boom* there's my camera. I thought hmmm so I instantly went to my camera guard app and sure enough, it's GREEN says "you're protected" I then click on my camera app camera opens right up. So I'm uninstalling.

As long as I know it works I am happy. Boyfriend is a spying freak!

It used to block my camera so that my flashlight won't come on but now my flashlight can show when its "blocked". I don't like that. I want the back camera blocked again please.

I have purchased the pro and really like this app. I am getting a lot of hits and curious to know who or what is causing them. Perhaps in s future release we can see more info on who or what program is activating the camera and get a little more validation or verification? Or perhaps even incorporate a second add-on app, networking or operational app to see what process was activated thiswould help Track down what's really going on. Great app so far and I would pay for additional services of additional apps tied together

Does what it says on the tin. I no longer have this tingly feeling that NSA/GCHQ pervs are watching me via front camera. E.g. it regularly blocks *Google Chrome* for wanting to access the camera but not Opera browser on same news website. Very fishy! In 3 days of use, I feel my battery has been draining more than before installing it. In terms of Memory Use, it ranks 3rd with 253MB of use. Phone's flashlight doesn't work unless App is temporarily disabled. I would rather if Nougat or LG had a simple on/off camera switch but it is kinda useful to know which App is trying to access the camera. Will test further.

I don't leave reviews, but this application is fantastic. I had some issues with pro version not working but the reply from my complaint was answered almost immediately, and at 4 in the morning. The app itself functions amazingly, and best of all it works! Pro is worth every cent.

Great app but consumes a lot of battery power. I would like to reply to Lisa Lampros review from 25/05/2017. Lisa, nothing logical like changing email account, phone number or best anti virus program is going to help plus a lot of these spy apps or software are impossible to detect. There is one and only way how to get rid off it. Upgrade you operating system. Doesn't really matter if Android or Windows or other. If you have latest version of OS then downgrade your OS. After down or upgrade you'll be free. These spy monsters can only operate on actual OS and they do that very well. But changing version of your OS will completely wipe them. No other action or the best anti virus is able to wipe it completely. Find somebody who will be willing to help you if you don't know how to do it. Do not back up anything, you don't know where the spy software can be hidden and which format does it have. Wipe it all. Good luck, Lisa.

The app is good and does the job well. Paid for the PRO version to get the whitelist functionality. My main issue is that this app is consistently on my top 5 battery consuming apps list. It even consumes more battery than the anti-virus security suite which does much more.

Based on the reviews, I can tell the app does what it says. I hope to purchase the pro version sometime in the future. I had once gotten a virus on my computer, making me paranoid enough to cover my computers camera, my phone's as well. I hope that this app becomes even more successful. Best regards, Victor.

If works I will like it very very much. The other night my camera kept turning on. Don't know why or how? This should stop it. It works good blocks a lot of attempts to use my camera. Google is the mean culprit. Thanks.

I am so happy to have found this app, although i cant figure out how to turn camera on when I want to use it & turn on the microphone protection, human error (my fault not Apps). I know this app will give me peace of mind I have not had ever before. I have had a Hacker attached to my phone, email and all other accounts. He has hacked every Facebook account I have opened and changes passwords so I have no access. I feel i am being watched thru my camera. The camera will start taking photos and i am not doing it. I had a person on YouTube comments say things only i would know. I found the Hacker was using my facebook and phone number to sell drugs. I have gone through this for over 2 years. This has caused so much stress in my life. Please tell me what I can do to stop him. I have changed my phone number a few times and can't keep Facebook more than 4 days. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You, Lisa

I trust that this app did what it said but basically it just appeared to alert me whenever I clicked on any app. The trust I have in this product actually protecting me is not greater than my need to use the Flashlight on demand and the camera sometimes at a moments notice. I dont see the point in whitelisting the camera app for a camera blocker app... Now when I decide to uninstall it seems near impossible. Im getting the feeling this app has a greater purpose than keeping me safe. Is this app the type of thing I should be trying to guard myself AGAINST? Otherwise why do so much to keep users from uninstalling? please cancel my subscription, I made an error in judgment when purchasing this app.

Sux, When you install it, it blocks your camera. Then if you dont want it, its hell to get red of. I thought it was supposed to protect your camera not block it???????

I did not know so many apps were trying to access my camera. Now I know and I find it repulsive and insufferable. It is like a rape.

IF YOU CANNOT SEE THE DIFFERENCE OF USING "CA" INSTEAD OF "CG" AND USING "MI" INSTEAD OF "MG" IT MEANS YOU NEED TO EDUCATE YOURSELF MORE. FIRST OF ALL "CA" AMD "MI" ARE MORE USER FRIENDLY THAN "CG" AND "MG" (THE USERS WILL LOOK ON THESE TWO ICONS EVERYDAY, THUS IS IMPORTANT TO SEE PLEASANT LETTERS). SECOND AND MOST IMPORTANT IS THAT, WHEN THE USER SEE THE LETTER "CA" DIRECTLY KNOWS IS CAMERA AND WHEN HE SEES "MI" THEN DIRECTLY KNOWS ITS MICROPHONE (SINCE "CA" ARE INITIALS OF CAMERA AND "MI" ARE INOTIALS OF MICROPHONE). IN CONTRARY "CG" AND "MG" DO NOT DIRECTLY GIVE THE MEANING OF WHAT THEY DO. MAKE THIS CHANGE SO I CAN HELP YOU DEVELOP THE PROGRAM MORE, BY SENDING YOU MORE SUGGESTIONS.

I sure do love the piece of mind and safety that I get from this camera guard. Simple to use, useful paid features. Just a good app
