--- How it works ---
★ When an individual note is locked, the password is permanently removed from your smartphone, and the note can't be decrypted without your password. You don't have to trust us, or any other third party, to store your password for you.
★ You can sync individual notes online to ProtectedText.com and access them with a web browser. No registration is needed. A note can be stored under any URL you'd like to use, e.g. yourname/sometitle, and then accessed through the app or online at ProtectedText.com/yourname/sometitle
The first user to use a specific URL owns it (by knowing the password that was used to encrypt the note on that URL).
★ The password never leaves your device, not even when notes are being synced online. Syncing notes with ProtectedText.com only stores encrypted text.
★ We can't decrypt your notes even if we wanted to. That gives you the ultimate security, but it also means that a lost password can never be recovered.
★ You can modify the same note on multiple devices, and when you sync notes, you'll be informed if there is a possibility that a note will be overridden by changes made in the meantime.
★ Deleting synced notes from your smartphone doesn't remove the online copy, so you can recover it later. You can permanently delete notes through the ProtectedText.com website.
★ Notes can be shared with friends by giving them the password to access your note.

This app definitely does what is promised! It keeps my notes and my peace of mind secure. The only feature I feel could be added is an auto-sort, giving us the option of sorting our notes by color or title. As of right now, all you have is the most recently edited gets sorted to the top. If, however, I have missed this option (or something that will do much the same thing) in my exploration of the settings, please let me know. It's definitely something I would like to have for this app.

I don't usually review apps but felt this needed an exception. The clean interface and simple usage meets my needs for secure notes perfectly. Unlike other apps, the web interface makes this a complete solution. Add to that a developer that responds to questions and it's hard not to wish one could give it more than 5 stars.

I tried to put up with this apps' insubordinate actions. I had very important notices that I needed saved. It deleted my notes I already made and replaced them with my new notes I was currently writing. This isn't the first time. So... Yea....

Simple, intuitive interface. Offers a good level of security and provides a rich variety of features; for an application that is free and which has zero ads or nag screens, this is is handy tool to have on your device and it easily competes with other competitors who offer similar software at premium prices.

Not user friendly. One too many clicks to get to the notes. Can't see where the edit buttons copy/paste are as color scheme can't be changed. No good. Simplenote app is *much* better.

I would switch to this app if you could add the ability to switch a note to a checklist as i have with my current notepad. I do like the ability to colour each note but do need the check box feature for shopping lists.

App OK. But, no more than 3 stars for the missing support for fingerprint scanner to lock/unlock the notes

I love this app. If there is anything that it is missing, and I'm not even sure that it would be possible, technically, is some sort of merge control. When edits happen from different devices, it alerts you, but your only options are to discard your current edits on your device and replace the file with the copy from the web, or blindly overwrite the web copy with the version from your device. A side-by-side comparison, or just having the differences displayed with some context and the ability to edit them, would be extremely helpful. Otherwise, this app is excellent, and I use it daily.
