LITERATURA ANDALUZA EN RED no persigue abrir un debate sobre la noción de «literatura andaluza», algo que ha sido bastante analizado y que seguirá siéndolo, ni se marca como propósito la búsqueda de rasgos diferenciales y la delimitación de ciertas señas de identidad de lo andaluz, entre otras razones, porque el intento de equivalencia entre los conceptos de territorio, lengua y literatura siempre ha generado conflictos en la historiografía literaria, algunos de difícil resolución. En todo caso y por lo común, se acepta que el eje central para delimitar una tradición literaria es la lengua y, en este sentido, a estas alturas resulta obvio que, exista o no cierta diferenciación en algunas prácticas literarias en Andalucía, estas siempre han de entenderse como parte integrante de la literatura española o, mejor, de la literatura en español.

Por consiguiente, no hay que confundir la literatura, su proyección y su estudio, con una defensa de las literaturas específicas en un sentido regional y localista, de ahí que este portal no se establezca como una plataforma apologética de lo andaluz, de esos estereotipos construidos a lo largo de los siglos, sino como una pantalla que haga visible la creación literaria vinculada a Andalucía, fundamentalmente la reciente y actual pero también la de épocas pasadas. Esto significa que lo andaluz no se toma bajo una reivindicación regionalista e identitaria sino de acuerdo a la realidad presente, es decir, a partir del sentido pragmático que otorga el criterio territorial y político-administrativo.

Lo que interesa resaltar en los contenidos aquí recogidos apunta a la aportación andaluza a las letras españolas tanto desde el punto de vista de los autores como de la realidad histórica y sociológica transmitida en sus textos. En resumidas cuentas, se trata de ofrecer materiales que ayuden al conocimiento y al análisis de la obra producida por aquellos escritores con un lazo vital y experiencial ligado a Andalucía (los nacidos aquí y los nacidos fuera pero afincados aquí), así como sobre la obra de otros autores que quizás nunca hayan pisado tierra andaluza pero que han tomado algún aspecto de Andalucía como referente literario e imaginario.
