Pathfinder Character Sheet for Android
This app is perfect for recording everything you need for your character sheets. It even does most of the number crunching for you which can shave off a lot of the time spent in character creation. Very little is left to be desired here. If anything It would be nice to be able to convert characters to a text document, and have a method of sharing it to other people with the app. The default numbers for exp is also wrong, It should be 1300, 2000, or 3000 for next level, this is only a very minor thing though
Being able to create whole characters on my phone is a lot of fun. However, there are a couple of minor issues I've noticed. First, it has Perception as a Strength based skill. Second, there's no differentiation among bonuses (I understand simplifying but there are times when it's important to note the different bonuses to AC). Other than those two things, I really enjoy this app and I use it all the time.
I love how customizable everything is! I run a lot of alternative timeline games and being able to alter skills and input custom feats, spells or abilities is wonderful. I recommend this to everyone I play with. Only drawback is the random popup add that covers the bottom portion of the screen and when editing the top header is cut off making some text inputs difficult.
You said that you would not include a 'database' because it is all copyright but the thing is as long as you give credit where it is due (Pathfinder) then there should be no issue with you creating a database for the app. I for one would love to see a built in database that when you select the item, skill, feat, spell, etc... it will automatically input any necessary data plus include notes or even a tooltip. On the aesthetic side, I would make it to where you can customize the character screen picture.
This was an awesome app to use and really fun to fill in. Great for people who want to game at work. My only request is that there should be a d2 and d3 dice for damage in the weapon descriptions. Also in the gear tab if there could be a way to add fractions of weight that would be great. Like 7 1/2 pounds or 7.5lbs. Right now there's only a way to add whole numbers. I would love if there was an encumbrance bar or something too, something to keep track of while your character picks up more and more treasure
The best DnD Character Interface I've ever seen. The interface is highly configurable, and the various designs for everything looks great. The only problem is that the interface does need some getting used to, and it can take a little bit of time to understand all the in's and out's. And whenever I'm typing something for like- say- a description for an item, the text box cuts the cursor off just a little. All the text appears, and I don't know why, but that missing cursor really irks me. Otherwise, love it!
I wish I could change the background on the main page. Even just a few alternative options would be great. Also, a more user friendly spell book. Right now I have to delete and reenter spells if I decide to change them during a campaign. I'd rather track them on paper. If we could enter our favorite spells and then mark them as prepared and the number of each spell prepared it'd be a lot better IMHO. All that being said, this is a solid app and all the players in my campaign use it.
I've made 2 characters so far. It works very well; however, it does crash after not being opened for a while if it's being run in the background. I would also like to recommend a sharing system where you can share Character Sheets with party members.
I personally loved this app. It could do with some more work, but now I can play even when my friends are spread out and can't meet! Nicely executed, hope to see better up dates. (Base spells maybe?) ADDED* The more I use this app the better it gets! Character profile could be a bit more extensive, and looking at the spells it's great.
This app is perfect for a quick glance at your character while you're playing! Creating was relatively easy, I just wish there was a way to have the app on multiple devices (ie. Phone and tablet) and still have all the same info from each device. Please see if you can make this happen! Keep up the great work!
This is truly a very helpful app, for someone who plays Pathfinder relatively often. I can only hope the next update will increase the character limit, make it so that inputting armor automatically updates AC, and allows for bonuses to to-hit rolls. EDIT: It's slightly aggravating that I can only put down "Swashbuckl" as the class for one of my characters. That's why I'd like a higher char limit.
I would happily pay to get rid of the ads. For some reason the bottom ad is messing with the scaling of the editing windows so I can't see the top of the app. I'm using the NVIDIA Shield tablet. Other than that, great app! One of the better character sheet apps I've tried.
For a free app it is very good, but as with everything there is room for improvement. Specifically, the limit on typed characters in the boxes. Sometimes there is not enough room to type all the info you need. Also, I wish magic items such as cloaks of resistance would automatically update the stats they effect. But that is about the limit of my criticism. I highly recommend this app.
It lacks very basic higher level requirements, such a multiple BaBs for any monk above level 5. I also discovered you can't enter a 0 for level so you can be level 9 or level 11 but not 10. It's a good idea but it definitely needs some basic fixes to really stand out. I think I'll stick with paper sheets over this app
Looks good so far. Give me the ability to remove ads and get a better rating Update: this is so far the best pathfinder app I have seen on the marketplace. I run a magus, so it has been difficult to find one app that works correctly. I would still rather pay you money directly than see google ads.
I use it for D&D 3.5, rather than pathfinder, and it works great! My only request is possibly adding in some options. 1) could you add the option to either change the default skill list or import/export skill lists? 2) [edit] you're correct, the class skill feature does work just not as I expected. My mistake. Could an option to disable this be added?
I'm a man of simple tastes. I just want the info I need to play on my screen, and this does it well. I would, however, like to see a space added for DR. My character has a DR, and I have no way of making note of that in the "abilities" screen, which is where it should go. It's by the HP on the standard character sheet. It could probably go down with Spell Resistance in the app.
I find this app is the example of how to do a character sheet app. Yes, it doesn't have the text from the books, but it works well and has no useless bling. layout is sensible. The only must have feature I miss (and I'll add the last star if it's ever implemented) is being able to transfer characters from one device to another, without needing to have root access (and use titanium backup). ADB Backup doesn't seem to work, and neither does Helium (understandable, since it uses the adb backup as a base)
Easy to use & a few built in formulas speed up the process. This has become my go to character sheet. My only problem with the program is that there are no sort options. Spells, feats, and abilities appear in the order they are entered. Otherwise a fantastic program that is better than most PC digital sheets and a to old fashioned pencil & paper.
Multiple Chars, love that. Die rolls for entered stats, love that. Weapon Entry Flexibility, adore that. Armor Entry... where is Max Dex Bonus? Full Plate may have AC protection of 9, but it is difficult to move around in (max dex of +1). I can use a temp modifier but that seems like an odd work around.
Skills - sometimes when you check off a class skill, it applies the +3 bonus automatically, sometimes it doesn't (and you can't add it manually, you have to put it into 'misc mod') what's up with that? Perception skill default shows a strength-based skill instead of wisdom, what's up with that? There is no way to show "trained only" skills (maybe an asterisk or something), what's up with that? The app force closes semi-regularly, what's up with that? Fix some of these problems and I will gladly rate higher
Does everything I need it to and much better than keeping a paper version. Shame that it can't have a single equipment entry for when wielding Two Weapons but that's minor. Only way it could be better is if it was officially licenced so it could include all the Feats, Classes, etc rather than needing manual entry. Oh and I'd totally pay to get rid of the ads.
Really simple, and easy-to-use. Makes it so much easier to fill out character sheets and keep track of multiple characters. I also enjoy the implementation of rolling in the app, as it adds the modifiers for you instead of trying to find it on the paper. Only thing I ask is that a d2 gets implemented for some of the rarer damage rolls. Other than that, I wouldn't change anything else about the app.
Very minor suggestions with this app. When adding multiples of 1 item to inventory, the weight will not auto-calculate. I.e. entering 5 daggers at 1lb does not automatically make it 5lb. Also, fractional pounds would be nice. Finally, I don't see a way to export characters, either just to backup to SD or to share with friends. It'd be nice if I could export the character data to a txt or CSV file (or similar) and email/text it to my DM, who could load it into this app on his own device.
I would like to see the spells page drop down from a spells type node thingee so you could have more than one spell list if you have a cleric/bard or wizard/druid. I also can not type 10th level for any character.
Overall a very nice app. I've used it on many occasions and am happy every time. If I had to make complaints, I wish it allowed for longer names/descriptions and I noticed a bug where the Perception skill automatically uses Str over Wis. and I've had to change it manually. Finally, I wish there were more options as far as types of bonuses are concerned. For example, right now there's no way to keep track of a dodge bonus. Other than that, great work!
After looking for just the right CS app, I managed to find this beauty. Figured it out in 5 minutes and had everything I could imagine. Even allowing me to add skills that weren't already pre-set. Thank you for this glorious app. Not even the slightest disappointment by anything in this app. Truly satisfied.
I love the app. It's easy to use you just have to fill in the blanks yourself. I am wandering if there is a way to move your data though. Just recently got a new phone and all my information is on the old one. Is there a way to do this?
Fantastic app, smooth, easy to understand, just an all around great app. But, that being said, there are a few small things I'd like to see in future updates. Firstly, the option to export and import characters. If I could send my characters to friends to look over, or just have a backup to put on my pc, it'd be great. Secondly, zero. There is no zero. I can't put 10 or 20 in on the lvl bar, so, that's something that needs to be corrected.
The perfect way to keep your character at your fingertips. The only thing that I would add is all the dice possibilities (D3, D30, ETC). Something I would find useful is drop down lists for spells to save some typing. Thanks for an awesome app. You have a problem with burrow speed. Enter a value and it is immediately erased.
It allows me to make anything I want, but I'd really like drop down menus with selectable options. For example, if I could select Barbarian as a class, the abilities of that class would fill in. Then if I selected Half-Orc, the racials would fill in. In this app, I have to fill in all of it. I might as well just use the paper sheet. This is a character sheet, I just fail to see how its better than the paper one that I have to do everything. Uninstalling and looking for a better one.
Great functionality with few limits. Other apps I tried don't accommodate epic level characters (max attribute points for example) but this one doesn't. Only bug I've found so far is not being able to use the zero key when entering class levels.
Its not a bad app, you can adjust what you need to but not all the stats add up right my dex mod is +1 it needs to be +2 and not all abilities and feats are on here for the classes. Just a few small bugs but over all its ok
The app works well enough, but I was unable to input some data as the upper portion of some input screens was cut off.
There seems to be no way to delete Characters or notes (even to change notes), keep a list of spells in spellbooks or known, basically its ok for the average player, not good for DMs
I'm curious if you would be willing to make a d&d 3.5 specific one. Not a lot of real changes. Just replace the CMB section with one for your basic attack roll. Add the ability to choose which stat modifier is used. On weapons auto add the stat mod for damage and make it so weapon and armor stats auto update the right places. Such as bonus to hit and armor Auto adds to ac. Oh and make it so ac stat modifier can be chosen. There are feats to add other stats to ac instead of dex.
Not a perfect substitute for a paper sheet, but very well-made and convenient. I use it as a DM to store my party's character sheets and it saves a lot of clutter.
Still good. Editing could use some help tho. The pop ups should be able to scroll so we can see what we are writing in. Such as the profile information and when an item, weapon, or armor needs to be added. Just drop the popup screen just a bit and then bring up the bottom back to were it was originally. Finally make it so the points added and taken away are automatically done. (Edit) Also add the rule books and advanced rule books and then I may pay for this app. And possibly others would too.
I like this app, but I cannot seem to add a class to my character in the class spot.

I actually really like this app as an alternative to paper character sheets. I honestly would love to give this app a 5-star review... however, I did have a few issues with the app. One of my biggest complaints I have, is that there are certain Feats in the game that alter a character's attributes that unfortunately cannot be edited in the app. Allowing more freedom with editing would go a long way in my opinion. I'd also like to see a greater range of dice. For example, a D3 or D2. Other than that, this app is fantastic.
