Pitch Gauge

The app launched but the camera function would not run all I could see is a white or black screen with the pitch gauge line. It seem like the pitch was reading but the image was not showing on my phone. I sent and email with no return response. To bad I would use this for a lot if it worked.

I am a property claims specialist and use this app several times daily. Nearly a month ago the app stopped working on my S7 as the reading only returned 0.0 slope. I worked with the manufacturer and we determined it was a Samsung bug and the most recent update resolved the issue. Best pitch app on the market!

It stopped working on my phone. I Uninstalled and installed but still not working. The developer contacted me and now everything is back to normal. I will be getting the new version as soon as it's available.

Use to work, I used it for past 5 years. Just stop working on my s7.

I loved having the roof pitch app but it just stopped working and I have unis taller and reinstalled. Still will not work. I have recalibrated...nothing. HELP

Settings does not work on Android 7 on a Pixel, pls fix asap

Excellent! I use this to calibrate my helicopters main blade pitches. It works for my smaller helis the same as it works all the way through my 450s to 700/800 helis!

Customer support helped fix a bug on my phone so app worked up to it's expectations

I've been using Pitch Gauge for over a year now. I'm a home inspector and as you can imagine inspecting roofs is part of what I do on almost every inspection. There are a few apps available that will measure pitch or angle a roof but Pitch Gauge is by far the easiest to use, just select it, calibrate by sitting on a level, switch to camera mode, set your phone down on its edge parallel to the slope, press snap and you have a picture with pitch. It is that easy. There were some issues when I had to change my phone from a Galaxy S6 to my current phone a LG V10, but the people I dealt with at Pitch Gauge could not be more responsive. Abraham (the developer) worked on it for at least a week until he got the issues resolved. He emailed me several different builds of the app over the course of 7 days and he always followed up with me to see if there were still problems. Everything works fine now and I could not be happier. Thank you Abraham and Pamela for all of your efforts in getting Pitch Gauge to be compatible with my V10 Android phone. It is very much appreciated.

This has come in very handy on many occasions. Very useful for quick measurements. This app has become one of my default apps that I use on job sites to quickly verify the roof pitch

Rubbish app concept is great but the angle level couldn't be more off

When I first started using the free version of Pitch Gauge it worked well and I was more than happy to pay the extra $2.99 to remove the ads. Unfortunately, when I purchased a new V10 phone, any picture I take now is changed and distorted. The best way to explain this is that when you have the app running and set the phone on its side on a surface with an incline, it will show the degree of pitch with a parallel reference line about the center of the screen. After taking a picture of that though the resulting picture is not rendered in landscape orientation, but rather it is rendered in portrait mode and compressed side to side. The parallel refrence line is no longer shown as such but instead it is shown running 90 degrees to the plane of reference. I first reported this to the developer 5 months ago using the apps help function an again 3 months and 1 month ago. As of today there has been only 1 reply and that was they are working on it. That was only after my second report where I asked if I should uninstall and give a negative review. Evidenty, the developer has better things to instead of fixing a faughty app because there have been no upates to it so the app is useless. I give it two stars because it did work well at one time. I can no longer recommend this app. Don't waste your time to download it and certainly don't pay for it.

Very good application

I tend to forget how helpful this app was to me as a new contractor climbing up on roofs. Good rating because what I need out of it works well, but the photo taking and measuring part of the app seems mostly broken on my device. Can't get address to display and when I try to capture the photo I get a spinning circle where the photo button was. Nothing shows in the gallery after that. For what I do, this feature isn't necessary, but wanted to give feedback.
