Shady SMS 4.0

Does anyone know of any other app similar to the concept of this one that is compatible with Android Nogut?......this was the best app on the market.....I can't believe Noah stopped supporting it.....and also Shady photo - video.....smh

One issue.. When I get a call.. (shady or stock) once I hang up from the call the phone remains in silent mode.. Regardless if it's either a call from a shady contact or a stock contact.. Leaving me missing the next calls if I don't remember to turn the system back to vibration mode or up in volume... PLEASE HELP!

Noah, have you been alerted to issues with receiving and sending MMS messages? APN isn't the issue here since stock messenger works. Any tips?

I use to like it on my old note 3 but since I got a new note 5 it doesn't work like before none of my text messages are hidden and it keeps asking if I want to use default messages is there something I'm doing wrong

It is Good. But after I changed to the new phone Huawei honor 4x it fail to launch as it used to. Is it because of some softwear problem of the phone?

Took some doing but followed your directions Noah and got it working perfectly on my note 2! The messaging you provide is kind of generic but I can live with it. Thanks for having this up and ready to go for kit-kat

Looks like after the latest android os update, all contacts in the main messenger app are missing rhe contact names. Number appears, but no name. When clicking the the contact image, it is still tied to contact. Possible fix in the works soon? Samsung S6

A little hard to set up with all the options. But working good so far. 2 issues 1)wish i could use my individual contact notification sounds for family close friends and work to work for shady and non shady contacts. 2) wish i could open it while on the phone

Like i said this is perfection. I am a software developer and this is very well put together all hale java. all i ask for is choice of font color on text msg threads. Reason being is some of my back ground pics have white back grounds and obviously we as users know the default font and only color is white i ask for atleast choice of black font i can wait for more colors no rush..but the best thing about shady is not just that it makes your android a stealth bomber but that you can customize it.

I love this app been using it since 2012 Done miracles for me and has taken so much worry out of my back... Noah only thing on the messager I would love to copy....

Can I get the version that doesn't have the messaging app with it plz and I am using a note 4

whats the difference from the free shady sms from 7.99? and next whats the benefit of the new update for messaging spam and regular. i liked how it was b4 alot, the way its set up now is alot more work. seeing how i dont get notifications for my regular contacts when i have it set on shady sms messaging. i miss alot of text messages by it being no alert.

I gather from reading feedbacks, help files, that yes, alot of work has gone into it. But, running a samsung 5 - android, i have to accept to make shady a default msg service -EVERY time i use it, and if a msg turns up on normal sms i have to accept a default change back. However while in normal shady can't do its job at all... i just cant use shady totalistically for everything its over the shoulder sus, as is the absence of any "normal" sms. Old 'capture' service was good this is disaster awaiting.

But no option to block unknown numbers. Blocking all but phone book would be a great feature but developer doesn't seem interested in implementing this. Many other apps have this function and unfortunately I will have to switch to one.

If you want the best this is TheOne. Worth paying for.

Its just a hassle now i cant get my normal messages with the spam filter select.I will always use your apps.

This app was hot.. now its garbage. Switched from GS3 to GS5..and now I can't send mms through the spam filter app.. I have to close out spam filter, open up regular messaging to send or receive mms.. this defeats the purpose of even having shady. . And all shady contacts calls come through as spam filter. I can't even tell who's calling. And based on my recent experiance with Noah and other reviews I thing Noah is in denial that Shady has turned to $£!+..

Loved this 5 stars pre kit kat. Ensures my kids can play on my phone without them stumbling onto unsuitable content. However now my phone has updated to kit kat it's unworkable. Regardless of setting sms spam filter, to receive and send normal messages i have to select 'cancel' on my normal messaging service every time. Then I still can't reply without manually going into the contact. Absolute pain. Really disappointing.

Messages I don't want visible on my device are stored on my provider's server! This app was the best until now.. I have an HTC One M8. I am a paid customer.. and this is disappointing. Every time I add a contact It will filter but then defaults back to stock texting app.. Needs to Be fixed ASAP ..

I'm using this app for several mobile phones .s2, s4 ,note 3 , now s5 ..works fine and help me a lot .customer care and support are best keep up the good work. ..now is time for do some changes for the view of sms folder ....

After the update my galaxy mega started showing my messages in my normal messages tab

Period.. Have had it since my htc x 2 really loved that phone. But with eachthunderbolt phone since it's just a learning curve if you want to stay private this is itttttt keep up great work Noah!

I have used shady SMS quite a few times. Now that I have upgraded my phone to 4.4 I can not use this application anymore. Your SMS filter does not filter my texts. I am very disappointed and DEMAND a refund .

But how do a move a contact from shady back to regular sms witjout loosing the messages?

The new kitkat update sucks, I don't mind the sms app the comes along with shady but it doesn't notify me when I have a new message, no sound, no preview, no led, nothing, I have used this app for almost 3 years and it's sad, if nothing is done I will have to part ways with shady.....

A classic example of if it ain't broke don't fix it! I had this app rated 5 stars, been loving it for years. Then all of a sudden someone gets the bright idea that being a hidden messaging app isnt good enough. Now it has 2b the ONLY messaging app compatible with Shady! Really? For years I used this app along side go sms and everything worked smoothly. But now I'm confined 2 a messaging app that looks like it was on my 1996 flip phone. Come on dude! At least make it easy on eyes 4 pete's sake!.UNINSTALLING!

It says this One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset. Or it will just be a blank screen

Whenever I try to save a photo or send a photo someone has sent me or even try to backup to my SD card from the app I get an error saying java.io.FileNotFoundException: No such file or directory. This is very frustrating.

Been using this app for a while now & absolutely love it. Don't be fooled by the imitators cause this is the real deal! Helpful tip though for those of you out there. After setting it up as your primary messaging app I highly recommend going to settings -> application manager -> all -> & turn off the stock messaging app so it doesn't appear on your home screen anymore which could cause suspicion by having 2 msg apps. Would be nice if this app had an option to do that itself, but wanted to pass that along.

App is crashing bad an also it allows blocked calls to come thur.
