About Pedometer GPS Sport
Pedometer GPS Sport is a lightweight and easy-to-handle, for hiking, running or biking.
You can use either the metric or imperial system, has a low resource consumption makes the battery last longer. In addition it also works in the background, allowing data to continue to acquire for example during a call or while running another application.
Save routes on the SD card, and every time a route is continuous, draw it in a different color, allowing for example to differentiate the way for the return.
Reports:
- Voice notification pace per km or mi (only in Spanish and English)
- Current speed, average and maximum
- Distance traveled.
- Total time, in motion and stationary.
- Average passage time per km
- Time to travel a km and difference with the previous km
- Calories
- Altitude
- Normal map view, satellite, hybrid, and terrain, and 3D
- Graphics altitude and speed.
- Voice warnings previously established goals, such as distance, calories burned or running time.
And share your email routes, screen capture, or exporting your routes to GPX (OpenStreetMap) and KML (Google Earth).
It also boasts a handy calculator to find the BMI and find out if your weight is appropriate.
***** IMPORTANT NOTE *****
In some phones the application does NOT work in the background by default, it is NOT an application failure.
Some manufacturers include battery-saving modes that disable GPS when the screen is turned off and the application goes into the background.
On Huawei models (Steps may vary depending on model and version of Android):

4 Power plan: Normal, or search for "Protected applications"
5 Select app Sport GPS pedometer (settings for this application will open)
6 Activate the option: Run with screen off.
On Sony Xperia models (The steps may vary depending on the model and version of Android):

3 Turn off the "STAMINA Mode", or access App. Active in standby mode, and remove "Sport Pedometer" from the list of applications that will use the "STAMINA"

This app would be perfect if it worked all the time. The accuracy checks out very well and being able to clearly see the route on a zoomable map is a great feature. Unfortunately, it occasionally stops tracking a resets everything to zero without warning which makes the app useless.

This is a great app does what it says on the tin. Best thing about it is it doesn't what full access to all your phones functions, and your contacts like most if not all of the other apps of this type. Big Plus for privacy!!

The app was simple to use and worked very well.I dumped a Magellan hand held GPS because it wasn't.The map shows the route in different colors.What do the colors represent? One caveat,if you load a route to review it,do not hit the reset button to clear the display.It clears the display and deletes the route.(There goes the 4 hour hike I just completed.)This makes no sense since in the settings there is a selection to specifically delete routes.The only way out is to exit and save.Update.I have uninstalled this app as the distance calculation is not working.The map shows the entire hike ,but the distance value is only a fraction of what it should be.

Uninstalling due to this error message I got it said "gps arrested". I dont need garbage or spam on my phone. I do like the concept. If u fix or have an ans pls email me back. And if fix works I will reinstall and re rate

The help file is not helpful at all. I first used this app to track a cross country ski outing and was amazed with the data it provided and the wonderful map ability. I wanted to save the trip to show friends, but could not find any way to do that. The help file did not tell me, so I left the app running. When I rechecked it a few hours later my data was gone, then I went to exit and then I saw how to save it...very disappearing, but I know better now and hope to give this a lot of use.
