Greentoe is a "name your price" application which enables consumers to negotiate directly with authorized retailers.
Here is why:
The lowest price for a product is not available online due to restrictions manufacturers place on retailers. This is commonly know as "MAP" which stands for minimum advertised price. However, retailers are willing and able to sell products below the "MAP" price. Until Greentoe was created, the only way to get the lowest price was to negotiate in person at a store. But, “haggling" is often a very awkward experience. So, most people do not like to haggle in person. In addition, haggling in person is very time consuming because you can only negotiate with one retailer at a time. With Greentoe, you can negotiate with multiple retailers at once giving you a competitive advantage over other shoppers.
Here is out it works:
The process is very simple. You pick a price you want to pay for a product using the Greentoe "Pricemeter". The "Pricemeter" determines the most accurate price based on proprietary algorithms. Your offer is distributed to a network of authorized retailers. All of Greentoe's retail partners are authorized by the manufacturers ensuring that you will be getting a product with a full warranty. Once a retailer accepts your offer, we notify you with the name of the retailer. Then, the retailer ships the product directly to you.
Our current categories are photography gear, televisions, home theater, headphones, appliances, musical instruments, and pro recording equipment such as DJ gear.

I'll give 3 put of 5, great idea. I would use it if i did not have to enter my card info before a deal is even made. That's just suspicious with such a new app. Make the deal process without putting in card info and I'll definitely use it. Id love dealing on a vortex razor hd 5-20 moa scope but not using my card to make an offer.

Never had such awful service until now. Emails are misguiding and they ship and charge after they tell you they're out of the lens you wanted.

I wasn't willing to make an offer because they have the incorrect state code for Indiana. "IN" not "IA"

When updating an offer, the slider did not represent the actual range of the offer, it only ranged from $0 to $78, which was roughly 10% of the offer I was trying to adjust. Otherwise, no issues.

I've been waiting for this day for a very long time. So excited to check this out... Update: I will keep the 5 stars but was expecting more. I am a professional videographer, develop apps, and a total geek always looking for cool gadgets. I can't find anything intriguing to make an offer on. Have lots of free ideas and suggestions.
