Why we ask for permissions:
We ask for permissions only when we can use them to make our application better.
Below is a brief explanation of why we've requested the permissions that we have.
- Internet
Procore is a cloud service, we need to use the internet.
- Access Network State
Procore retains some functionality when you are offline, we need to know when!
- Write Contacts
We use this permission to allow you to copy a contact from your Procore Directory to your phone.
- Read Contacts
We are currently building the ability to copy a contact from your Phone into your projects. We had this feature at one point, but needed to make improvements before making it widely available. (Soon!)
- External Storage
We use this permission to allow you to download documents, view documents, and upload images downloaded from elsewhere or taken with your built in camera application.
- Camera
We use this permission to allow users to take photos.
- Installed Applications
We use the list of installed applications to find viewers for documents and determine if you have Google Maps installed (try clicking the project address in our side bar!)
- *NEW* Accounts and account information
We recently upgraded our application to use Android's built in account management features.
This allows us to be smarter about logging in and provide a lot of new enhancements (check out our widget for quickly uploading pictures from your home screen!)
- *NEW* Location
We recently asked for the location feature.
We are using it to GeoTag images if you select that option in our Camera.

PLEASE PLEASE FIX THE TERRIBLE RENDERING OF DRAWINGS!!! POINTLESS TO EVEN TRY TO ZOOM IN! I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD DRAWING THEN LOOK AT IT SINCE AS SOON AS I ZOOM IN I SEE BLURRY LINES AND DETAILS. OFFLINE IS AWEFUL AND SCHEDULING AND OTHER OPTIONS DONT WORK. MAY BE GOOD FOR OFFICE BUT TERRIBLE FOR THE GUYS IN THE FEILD

This app needs more features such as safety log for example. It's very hard to customize the app, if you don't have proper access, you can't add companies or workers yourself. - All the delays with refresh in mobile app really make things slow. - Sometimes when I want to send a daily log, list of people to send is empty, app needs to restart - If your screen times out while taking quickshot pictures, when you unlock screen back those pictures are gone.

One day its like someone who actually does construction in the field makes a change then the next day its like someone who only works in an office in a big computer and mouse pad changes things. Cant seem to work offline to sync later, still cant add to schedule, now have to go to top and tap a box to start looking for somethi g rather than just touching a line and start typing....etc

This app is great to track daily activities. The daily log you can input as things are happening in the field instead of trying to remember later in the day what you need to input.

I liked the app, I was using it for a project where all the docs are on procore, but the permissions were the kicker . why does a procore need to access all your email contacts, photos, sd card memory, list of apps, and all your call data, and email and files, that's way too intrusive on a non company phone. I deleted it . I'll just log in from now on. There is no reason for this many permissions to access your private data. They are tracking you, and everything you do.
