About Tennis Chart

Store and compare your tennis match statistics and with Tennis Chart, learn over time how to improve your game.

Each point in Tennis is built hit after hit. Taking your opponent out of balance and managing play to score the point. Unlike other applications in the market, Tennis Chart supports the Coach and/or Parent to record each hit on a rally, from the Service to the closure of the point.

The application can be used in one of two ways. Either with an observer logging hit by hit each rally or by the player logging the match score, conditions and opponent characteristics after the match.

It does so through an intuitive and fully customisable graphical interface where the observer taps ball position on a representation of the court on the screen as the game progresses. Capturing such events as Winners, Forced and Unforced Errors and Ball Placement, amongst others, with the option to only record part of the match and skip others. Statistics are shown for the rallies and games which have been recorded, and the skipped ones are listed for completeness.

Scores of partial or completed matches can be shared any time with friends or coach via social media including facebook.

IMPORTANT:
Tennis Chart is initially provided on a Lite version. The Lite version of the software allows recording the first 3 games of a match as well as the final score. The upgrade to the Pro version is offered within the Lite version if the user shall chooses to do so. The Pro version, gives full functionality including setup of custom scoring rules and recording of full matches.

Good for tracking tennis shorts.

Hello, I just recently purchased the pro version, is it possible to just track one player's shot placement? I can track both players on recorded video of match but find it very difficult while watching a live match. Hope you can help. Thanks

This is one of the better apps for tracking statistics and one of the few that does shot placement. I would like to see all shots from winning points and some pattern stats. For instance, would love to be able to evaluate percent of winning points where backhand to backhand pattern dominated versus forehand to forehand, etc.

Works but lacks some important factors. I cannot track the point of the hit, only the first contact of the ball with the court. I cannot track whether FH or BH was used at shots (apart from the final shot). And why would I be asked about error type after winning shots? Great concept, good fun, but not very valid for coaching.

I am using this app for a data analysis project I have been working on. My only complaint is that when I click to upgrade to pro, it won't let me. I need to be able to chart entire matches. Please help/fix.

Pretty good during trial, though seems I cannot get Pro version, or even know the price of it. Website hasn't updated since 2014, developer seems drop the support?

You mark the position where you hit the ball on the court but not the type of shot that was hit. When I look at all of the shots that were out I can't tell if they are forehand, backhand or something else, so not that useful in helping correct a situation. Also needs better reporting with some graphs and charts to digest quickly.

I like this app a lot when it's working. The ball placement is the best feature and the tracking ball by ball is excellent. Unfortunately, the app lags behind making it difficult to follow during a point. For example, after finishing a point it's supposed to 30-30 but it's stuck at 15-30 for a good 10 seconds. Also when I toggle with another app, it locks up and even crashes the OS hence lose tracking the rest of the match. It has to work well if it's worth using. No import export g feature.

Watching my daughter, I am able to plot her play patterns & errors. Would be better if I could distinguish between backhand & forehand in rallies.

An additional column is for fhv & bhv from the net which would add to the net approach column. Maybe a slice/topspin fh/bh would be good too! Then a 4-5 star.
