Carista OBD2 for Android
Does what it says but the price is ridiculous... Most people are going to want this to change one or two specific settings on their own car - forking out £9 for the pleasure is OTT. It would make a lot more sense (and be a lot more attractive) if £9 tied you to one ECU (car) for life.
For $10 for the in app purchase and the $25 bluetooth OBII I already had I was to make the changes to my car I've want to make. Beats over $100 for Vag Com any day. They also have great support if you have a issue with the app or any customization you make.
I'm glad I bought this back when it wasn't a subscription, waaaay too expensive now! Also, when I set my Passat B7 to control windows with the fob, it only does the right side.
The app is fantastic, but the pricing structure is ridiculous. Why not have a consumer version (one time charge of $9.99) and a pro version ($40ish)? I would like to do a few more things, but missed the one week window. No way I spending another 10 bucks for just a week.
Wouldn't even connect to the ODB2 device I already have which is the same type as the one they sell through the app. Torque, Engie and various others connect with no issues, Carista just hangs while trying to find the device.
Too expensive, no trial to test service.
Useful, but expensive...
Excellent since day one!
It's ridiculous that they changed the prices this year to more or less rent the app for a week for the price it used to cost. I'm annoyed I didn't buy it let year before this but I didn't have the car I wanted to use it on yet. I forgot to change a feature on my car back within my one week of use and it's stupid that I'd have to pay $10 again to change one thing. Good job guys.
Great to access hidden settings on my Lexus, but only need to use this once or twice... Way too expensive with the subscription and useless without it... That is disappointing as I paid for the adapter... I would have paid a one time fee, but won't subscribe for a service that I use once or twice... Wouldn't buy it again, sell me the device and app, don't lease it to me... You are getting greedy and lost a customer because of it. I have another ODB scanner that doesn't let me access all the settings, but has way more useful functionality for less $$. RE Vendor Reply: Sure I can do the $9.95 one week subscription, but then I have a useless ODB2 adapter the rest of the time... I already paid a premium for your adapter, now you want me to pay you every time I use it in addition... greedy
Too expensive... Yeah, it lets you customize car functions, but the one week pass price should be one time fee for unlimited usage, not one week only... Or at least a third option for one day pass for 0.99 cents or something like that!
Way too much to pay for an occasional user. For the pro I can see the higher cost(if access was faster). Annual subscription is overpriced. Works fine for Audi A4 B8. Reduce your price and I might be back.
It says my ele adapter is bad/ cheep. It is not. It is exactly what you app says I need
Far too expensive for what it does. Should be a single buy price at the 1 week price point. It isn't vagcom , you cannot edit custom code, just the predefined settings.
i loved but i have citroen c5 and ist not suprt for customized please can you make that support please thanks
Great app, just wish it was slightly faster to scan and customize.
I like the feature that tells you if the car is ready or not ready for emissions inspection and save you time.
I love this app. Use it on all cars no matter if I can customize them or not. Bought this app last year sometime and I guess they're charging people by the year now, wouldn't buy into it now because of that; but for the $20 I paid awhile back it's been an awesome app. Love how easy it is to figure out what the diagnostic codes mean!
40 dollars a year and 10 dollars a week makes no sense. For changing 10 models of cars. I own three cars and one of them I use the app for. But 40dollars to changing one feature... I'm good. Should just charge for the feature change.
Hard to like when my vehicle is not supported.... Have had some use of it but could have used other app if needed...
Worked for 5 minutes..Now the app doesn't pair with Bluetooth adapter...Beyond pissed..Spent a lot of money on the adapter and had to wait 5 days to get it...What a waste...I should of got a real vagcom or vcds
Not worth it anymore. Used to be $20 flat, now it's $40/year. Another greedy app dev.
Nice app but hates when i cant turn off/exit app completly, i cant close it
Superb apps for my Vw passat B6 1.6fsi 2008
How to transfer to new phone?. I paid for the full version and need to transfer
Good app too expensive tho
не умеет через wifi
all good
Diagnose never finishes. At 25% after 1 min.45% @ 5 min then after 95-97% after 15-5 min crashes. No means to change mmi menu on audi q5. Please fix app ASAP. Purchase also fails with non wifi like lte or faster
Only have 2 changes I want to make to my vehicle. Would feel totally like a bend-over moment were I to pay the $10 to make 2 changes. Going to see if my wife and friends have modifications they want. I'm totally willing to pay the $10 out of my own pocket but at least I would feel less like I got the shaft. $40 for the year, $10 for a week? Whose child was doing the math? The 2 star review is all because of the subscription model this app utilizes. Oh, and the app is slooooooow. I listened to the entire track of Social Distortion's Ball and Chain while waiting for the diagnostic and customization lists to load. The whole time the engine had to be running.
Thanks to this app I customized my Q5 settings further. Recent update allowed me to adjust DRL brightness. Kudos for the updates. Keep them coming. Subscription fee is a bit pricey but is worth it from a diagnostic point of view.
Got the app when I had a 1 series. Switched to a mondeo and now the app is useless as Mondeo is not supported. Weirdly Ford Focus is. Please add support for it.
I love it,like it but l am having issue with the pro version of Carista on some make vehicles.the pro version only work on BMW for me.so please perfect the pro version for me. Thanks. ( Philip Kombee from Nigeria ). . . Please improve carista to read vehicle engines RMP and sensor range performance. Thanks carista. (Philip Kombee from Nigeria)
Works well for detecting and resetting odb2 trouble codes.
I use this so much I should get a car shop. Never failed me yet. Just wish it gave live sensor feedback. Thanks developer for the great app.
Love the features and great app design + UX. Just wish it wasn't as expensive
Very very poor app! До Българина направил приложението: много е бедно горкото прилежение не струва!
This app is absolutely amazing. I'm using Carista with a BAFX OBD2 adapter. Years ago I paid the dealership $45 to turn off the reverse beep in my Prius '10 but now with this app I can control that setting and so much more. My car is essentially personalized!! Haha! Who'd a thought that?! I only wish that customization options and support weren't so limited and that Carista would support more vehicle manufactures such as Ford, Benz, Honda, etc.
Works great! Auto headlamps are not available in North America in my car, so I use the headlamps as DRL, thanks to Carista. If you can make the stability control defeatable by holding down the traction control button for 5 seconds like the rest of the world can do, that would be awesome! ! !

Tried to use Carista Service menu with OBDLink LX and it gave an error saying OBDLink is older version. Strange since it connects and Diagnosis without a problem. Also price to try the Pro version doesn't make sense. Way too much.
