Shows position of the sun at any given point in time

Compass to help determine where sun will be at any given date and time

Displays moon phase and illumination
Change date/time with either a slider, or precise buttons.
Shows field of view indicator in landscape and portrait modes
To access all of the settings options note that the settings can scroll both up and down and side to side.
To use the compass, click the navigator icon on the right, and the heading indicator will turn on. Line up the heading indicator line with any of the sun line, sunrise or sunset lines, and the direction the phone is facing is the direction the sun will be. The compasses in phones are pretty inaccurate, you can usually increase the accuracy by moving the phone around in a figure-eight pattern. You can also gauge the accuracy by pointing the phone towards the sun and observing how far off it is.
Permissions: This app doesn't require any extra permissions than what is absolutely necessary to function. It uses the Google Maps API which requires access to external storage and network access. Additionally it requires access to location data to show your current position. I do not track or collect any information about users of this app, but I cannot speak for any tracking or collection the Google Maps API does.

Does what it says and it's easy to use. Two suggestions: 1) add latitude and longitude in upper left with the azimuth and altitude; 2) increase the transparency of the circle so that it doesn't fade the satellite view as much (you can compensate the loss of opacity by creating a thin border around the circumference). Good app.

Clearly a serious app. Shows you sun and moon positions, including rise and set angles, laid over a Google map. Of use to Astronomers, Photographers, and certain outdoor people. Supplies important data. Note: when using any compass app, beware of magnets in your smartphone cover.

I love this free app but find the time and date sliders frustrating to use and often end up dragging the map instead is it possible to isolate them? With the time and date setting display open to accurately pick a time and date, it covers 1/3 of the map, it would be better if the location locked to the centre of the useable screen. Overall it works very well for me though, thanks to dev.

Shows moon AND sun positions, paths and indicates when and where they will set. It also has a really cool satellite map view where you can see satellite imagery of your position. I use it for outdoor activities to figure out which way tree shade will move based on the sun's path.

The size of the font is far to small to read and you can't see exactly where your position is on the scale.

Worked as expected the first time. Thie only issue i had is that the date and time widgets are too small to manipulate easily. The text is too small and the time is in 24 hour time which causes me to have to convert back to 12 hour time. Otherwise great.

Maps work by themselves, but not completely with this app, there doesn't seem to be a setup or menu, there are arrows that do nothing
