Zat Phonics Screening Check is designed and updated to support the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check UK. It can be also be used as a tool to support children with their Phonics decoding when reading. Use the phonics audio playback to check if you are sounding each word out. The audio playback for each word is broken down into each sound and then blended back together. For example ‘z-a-t = zat’
A virtual sticker book is now available to track progress and encourage home learning. Can you collect them all and become a phonics master?

Alien Screening Check (10) = mixed only alien (non-sense) words (50 in set)
Mini Screening Check (10) = mixed real and alien words (85+ in set)

Paid for full app - the 'more phonics checks' option does not work. Not good value for money unless this issue is fixed.

The full app is helping my daughter loads to prep for her KS1 phonics test. Pros: it sounds out all words so you get the correct sounds and don't miscorrect your child if you are not sure of the alien words. Cons: it doesn't retain the scores so loses the stickers collected which can be discouraging and so far found one word with the wrong sound.
