BLE Heart Rate Monitor for Android
Since years it keeps disconnecting from my i-gotu hrm 10. I also still mis an option that allows displaying AND logging of signal strength. For several purposes, debugging and acknowledging if the last position of the mobile phone was ideal. Now I keep failing to acknowledge what the cause of the disconnect was. I am also missing advanced features. Which allow setting the reflesh/fetch timings allowing to log more or less frequent providing more battery life or more accuracy.
Keeps dropping my chest strap..... why pay for the other bits when the basics dont work?
Not as stable since last update!
Most of the features require a payment to unlock.
A very good app. Easy to use.
Great
My p780 on kitkat is not capable of detecting my Coospo H8 heart rate monitor in apps like Runtastic, Pulsometer RR or EliteHRV. Luckily, this app does detect it and works in both reporting heart rate and battery level. I use it during running to perform optimally based on heart beat (zones). The interface could use a bit of a makeover, especially the way graphs perform at zooming. Furthermore addition of an easy readable floating button, heart zone voice notifications and HRV measurements, would be nice.
On an Android Galaxy S5 (one of the most popular phones on the market) and using a Fitbit (the most popular HR tracker on the market).... and the app does not work. Developers need to do a better job of pretesting.
While some features work much of the app is hard to use and extremely slow. Also in the description of the app, it is clearly implied that several feature can be accessed for free, however when you try to access them, you find out they are paid features. Fraud, maybe. When moving between imbedded features within the app it is incredibly slow. If you need more money, rather than nickel and dime people, come with a paid version with all features unlocked. Do not download........
Pretty much everything except the current heart rate and starts screens from description screenshots are "pay to unlock" individually. Found another app that does everything for free/ads so sticking with that one.
Paying for everything individually is acceptable . But it tricks you to do that. I want my money back for unwanted features.
Too many features are locked. To unlock them you have to pay. I paid to unlock the chart feature and it stopped working a day later.
Got all extras and its seems OK sell your app or.license to mio they need it because theirs doesnt work and if it did has about half the functionality at a push
Liked it in the beginning and even donated and purchased features but then i started to get error loading inventory, heart rate readings of over 200 in the first minute and incorrect timing chart. Uninstalled. Shame
The app was easy to install and connect to the MIO Alpha. However, they falsely advertised that you could view heart rate graphs and export data on the free version when in fact they charge you $1.99 for exporting and $2.99 for viewing the graphs. They should be upfront and say that those features are premium and cost money. I don't mind paying for these features but i don't like trickery.
ok so I pay three dollars to get the chart feature where I see a share export button in the preview. after purchase I click the now click able button upon which I'm asked again to pay for "file export" make the price $5 but don't trick me into paying extra for every feature.
Good so far but if possible I would like voice updates on stats I.E. Distance covered, distance to go, heart rate zone etc. I would like to view the app without having to turn BT on as a necessity. Seems to make my phone run Very Hot. Signing in to Fb fails every time. Would prefer to sign in to Google. I would like to download my Hr chart. I can not see the x and y axis' on the chart as they are cut off from view.
Got all extras and its seems OK sell your app or.license to mio they need it because theirs doesnt work and if it did has about half the functionality at a push
Now it drops connection and freezes constantly on my brand new g5. No other apps freeze or have issues. Sad because I liked it, but I've found better now. Sorry to the developers but you guys dropped the ball.
Acceptable at the beginning, though overloaded with unnecessary features, it just stopped working with my hrm. Strava goes ok. Uninstalled.
Stops monitoring constantly, in a time span of under 10 minutes I had to push resume 4 times.. 2 times Without the screen turning off. I liked it before, you could turn off screen while training and just check progress when you wanted, now you have to check of it is still on (which it won't be)
Worked sporadically in previous version, had to turn off wi-fi, not at all anymore. Not worth the extra pay for non existent features.
Basically only use this app if you need a real time heart rate monitor app. Other than that, every other feature (chart/export/etc) is a pay-for unlock that disappoints at every turn. Each unlock costs around $3-$5 and never seems to work like it should. I would not recommend this app, find another heart rate monitor app.
Trying this out for my resting heart rate. My suunto ambit peak 3 chest strap works fine so far with no problems. Basic package gives me my max min and average heart rate. That's all I need to check while sleeping.
Paid for the fully functioning app after using the free basic heart monitor for a week. After upgrading I suffered from error messages that meant that the app was not working correctly. Emailed a full description to the developer but failed to get any response. Would have liked a reply and some assistance! Uninstalled the app as not working.
If you don't have internet when you start it, all those functions you pay for stop working.
I bought all the extras. However it doesn't save the data. It is a hassle to export it every time. I loose workouts switching between exercises.
After I pay for the features this application is acting badly no min heart rate like on beginning ect
Will not stay connected to my polar h7. Wrote 2 emails to developers, nothing. Uninstalling, you can keep my money I paid to unlock 2 parts of the app. You definitely need it more than me. You should try some customer service some time, maybe you wouldn't lose customers. Just remember, without the consumer you have nothing.
In a move possibly inspired by EA, app is full of microtransactions. Expect each individual feature to cost between $2-$3 (or, you know, the cost of a full app). Still gets two stars because it works and the $3 graphing option I was suckered into paying for is acceptable. It would be nice to have csv exports ($2) or the map option ($3) for that cost but whatever.
Used to work fine with Android 5.1, but does not detect my heart rate monitor after upgrading to android 6. The same hr monitor (Scosche rhythm +) detects okay with another phone running Android 5.1 even now. EDIT: Got it to work again.. need to enable LOCATION setting for the app to detect BLE. Devs, please add the check for location/ enforce access to location for the app!
Whether running outside on 4G or on a treadmill with WiFi, app connects to BeetsBLU for 20 seconds then cannot maintain and requires WiFi off, meaning I end up streaming with Spotify incurring higher data charges. BeetsBLU now has an app. Jumping ship.
Worked great on my phone, purchased all the extensions. Upgraded my phone to 5.1 now it drops out all the time while recording. Strava works, so I know its an app issue. Hope there is an update
How do u connect to watch? Duh...
Seems okay, would have rather just a free version with some stuff and a two dollar version with all the features. The pay per feature thing just seems cheesy. Decided to use another app instead even though I somewhat life the interface
Worked fine initially but then connection problems. Potentially a great app if they can stabilize it. I try to reinstall now
Pros: I LOVE that if for some reason the HRM disconnects it beeps to tell you and automatically reconnects. Cons: The calorie count is WAY off. If I use it for cardio it's roughly 100 calories more than the machine says, but if I use it for strength it's almost double what the Polar app says the count should be. I use this app because of the auto reconnect. There have been times using the Polar app that I'll be working out for 20 minutes and not realize the HRM disconnected and will not reconnect unless I shut the app down and clear it from cache.
However, you should improve the statistic and add more functions for cycling, then it should be rate 5.................After I changed to Runtastic with Mio connect, I will never look back to this app since there is no any additional feature compared with other its competitor.
Happy with the functionality. 2 issues : 1) It works fine for 2hrs, and then have to manually select the hrm strap to reconnect. Does not auto reconnect 2) no pairing issues on nexus 5, but app does not pair with strap on moto e.

Developer stopped supporting refunds should be given out. It was more stable before the last few updates. Major connection problems now shame they broke the app before abandoning it. No longer works with polar.
