Im Mittelpunkt des Heftes stehen drei Ressorts: »Politik und Gesellschaft«, »Religion und Kirchen« sowie »Leben und Kultur«. Publik-Forum erscheint alle 14 Tage.

Publik-Forum EXTRAs haben einen langen Atem; mit ihrer Themenvielfalt bleiben sie über den morgigen Tag hinaus gültig. Die Facetten des Lebens – Freude und Trauer, Krisen und Glück, Enttäuschung, Trennung und Abschied, Zukunft und Vergangenheit – , sie alle stellen uns immer wieder vor die Fragen: Was ist der Sinn meines Lebens? Wozu bin ich auf dieser Welt? Natürlich vermögen wir es nicht, in unseren EXTRAs endgültige Antworten zu geben. Aber wir nehmen Spuren auf, lassen Erfahrungen sprechen, schildern beglückende Begegnungen und erzählen von überraschenden Erkenntnissen. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich in unserer Zeit, die schnelle Antworten und schnelle Lösungen sucht. Das »EXTRA Thema« behandelt jeweils eine ganz bestimmte und besondere Themastellung. Das Magazin »EXTRA Leben« beschäftigt sich in Geschichten, Reportagen, Gesprächen und Essays mit kulturellen und gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen und Werten. Publik-Forum EXTRA erscheint monatlich.

Der Schweizer» aufbruch« ist eine unabhängige Zeitschrift für Religion und Gesellschaft. Er interessiert sich für das, was an den Rändern der Konfessionen und Religionen aufbricht. Der aufbruch übt fundierte Kritik an Strukturen und Institutionen, Ämtern und Personen, Riten und Dogmen, kurz: an allem, was religiöse Aufbrüche verhindert. Der aufbruch kooperiert mit Publik-Forum. Der aufbruch erscheint 8-mal im Jahr.

Why am I in this world? Of course, we are not able to give definitive answers to our EXTRAs. The Swiss "vandal" is an independent journal of religion and society. He is interested in what breaks at the edges of denominations and religions. The vandal exerts an informed critic of structures and institutions, offices and individuals, rites and dogmas, in short, of everything that prevents religious awakenings.
