Auch die Bedeutung von Blutspenden für die medizinische Versorgung, der Weg vom Spender zum Empfänger und die ethischen Grundsätze des Blutspendens beim Deutschen Roten Kreuz werden erläutert.

Die App ergänzt und begleitet das Material Zeitbild WISSEN „Blut und Blutspende“. Sie wurde mit kurzen unterhaltsamen Videos angereichert und mit Experimentierfilmen verknüpft. In diesen Filmclips zeigen die YouTuber von TheSimpleBiology Versuche mit Blut, die in Schulen nur schwer durchgeführt werden können. Damit dienen die Videos auch der Anreicherung des Biologieunterrichts.

Die App und alle Inhalte können für Unterrichtszwecke kostenlos genutzt werden. Sie wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit den Blutspendediensten des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes erstellt. Why is blood red?
