I'm here to download it again!!!! So why must we have an ad show up when you open it? It's the content that costs money, but far less expensive than the bigger papers South of us. When they update or change the app, the company doesn't tell you right away, so you're stuck with an app that doesn't load or function. I'd give up on it but I'm such a news junkie.

The app now has three problems: 1) It will take you back to the top of the list of articles when you are in the middle of reading an article, and 2) when you tap on the icon at the bottom right to go to the next article, it frequently gets in a loop where it shows you the article you just read, no matter how many times you tap the icon, and 3) when you tap the back arrow at the top left, it often takes you back to the top of the list of articles, not the last article you read it tapped on - this is really annoying when you are 3 pages down in the list.

This app is great.

A subscription is now required to read the news? Why would I pay for that when I can get it for free elsewhere? What a sham!! Good bye Press Herald

About four days ago this app completely stopped functioning on my LG 3 and S4. Too bad, I did enjoy it when it was working. Must need updating I suppose

The app has not worked on my Samsung S5 Note for close to a week now. Uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. It can't take this long to fix!

If you browse the website using incognito mode or private browsing mode, you can get around the 10 article pay block that they are using. It won't remember your computer or the articles you've viewed when you do that. Free news all month! Uninstalled! Bangor Daily News is a good alternative.

People have to provide for their own. You cannot get paid if everything you do is given away free. What would you do?

This has been a free app and is not up to date news. I will not pay for the app. Time to go elsewhere for my news as there are free A.P. sites. Bye PPH.

Paid app now. I use to buy paper when convenient but not anymore will be reading other AP sources.
