Prepd for Android
I definitely think the team needs some support in further maintenance and update of this app. The slow response and image load failure has made this app somewhat boring to use.
Oh dear. You partnered with top chefs to put together recipes for hard-boiled eggs and coleslaw?! Content discovery, navigation, functionality, execution and content itself are all incredibly poor. It's actually quite impressive how you managed to mess up such a simple application.
Why so laggy? It can't keep up with even the slightest scroll, back button still doesn't work all the time. Can't exit the app, have to force close every time. This recent update doesn't seem to have accomplished much. It's a shame because some of these recipes are great.
Good app, reasonably fluid. It would however be nice to have the ability to mix and match the different boxes to tailor meals to certain tastes. Sliced apple isn't exactly pushing culinary limits and I would like to be able to swap this item out in my shopping list for something like the speedy hummus without having to add a whole new recipe. Just a thought, otherwise pretty excited to keep using the app. Nice job!
App seems laggy, doesn't have a kj option (my country doesn't use Calories) range of recipes is low, and many recipes seem pretentious with fancy ingredients in small quantities making cost and packet waste an issue. It's only the begining so and there is potential for improvement, so I hope to one day be able to come back and give a better review.
For the most part, I think the app is well formated. It lags a bit and takes a little while for images to load. I'd like the option of having sides and main dishes separate from each other so that I can mix and match my meals.
The app is too buggy to use. I'll tap on a recipe and instead of going to the recipe it goes to a different screen. It needs a desperate fix to be usable
Good recipes, could be a bit heartier on the whole. A few notes on what i think could improve function: -checkboxes next to the steps in the directions. I tend to basically make several meals simultaneously rather than making one start to finish, then moving on to the next. So If i have 4 meals on my prep list, it would be cool to be able to check off that i made the dressing from two, chopped all the veggies for all 4, and cooked the meat. That way when i look at each recipe, i can tell at a glance what steps still need completed. -it would be cool if we could add custom items to our shopping list, so that we can use this app as a main shopping list. For example, at the end of the list of ingredients needed for the boxes on my prep list, i want to add paper towels, plastic wrap, trash bags, etc. That way i don't have to have 2 lists at the store -it would be incredibly helpful to format the ingredients as "2 potatoes, diced" rather than have the ingredients list say "2 potatoes" and then having "dice the potatoes" under directions. I don't know about anyone else, but i almost always cut the ingredients as part of gathering them (mise en place), so it's frustrating to constantly switch back and forth between the ingredients and directions tabs to see how much i need and what i have to do with them. -finally, i saw a few recipes that called for "1 cup rice (cooked)." not sure if this is an American thing, but i have only ever seen it written as either "1 cup cooked rice," meaning you take a cup of rice, cook it, and use all of it in this recipe, or as "1 cup rice, cooked," meaning you cook a pot of rice and scoop out one cup to use in this recipe. The way it is written in the recipes on this app is really confusing to me.
Half-baked indigogo project months overdue, no post-funding support. Big disappointment.
App looks great but wasn't there supposed to be a gluten free option?
Laggy and some recipes are either missing pictures or have the erroneous ones.
Love this app. Any chance you could add Fructose-Free as one of the preferences?
The app overall isn't too bad. It could use some work on the UI to make it a bit easier to use. The only really issue I have with this app is that there's just way too much yuppie vegan food in here. I'm not a rabbit. I don't want to eat tons of veggies for lunch. Give me something a man should eat!
App now opens but has some bugs and is somewhat slow. The view sometimes moves sideways when I want to favourite a lunch and the phone's back-button doesn't work (the program's "back" on top does but to close the app i need to do a hard close of the app instead of just pressing the phone's back button). The recipes look nice though. Please add a section with sent in recipes (separate from your professional ones).
Great start! Really enjoyed all the healthy centered meals. However 2 problems: 1) Back button not working in the app (S7 Edge), 2) put meals that are faster to make while being healthy / vegetarian (as a student, time is very short and you should give us more options and even at a tab for fast meals. Keep the great work
The UI is not very fluid but more importantly, the recipes don't have enough variety. They're suited to pretentious eaters and those on a diet. We need some man food.
Works great and i like the design and recipes. I would recomend adding the option to use the back button to exit the app for android users. Right now we have to open the tabs window of all the running apps to be able to close it.
Exploring the app is near impossible. Also if you filter by vegetarian you get 40 results, if you filter by pescetarian you get 2 results (plant based)
Back button does not work (at least at my note 7) you can get trap on certain pages and you will need to close the app and reopen it to continue. After Reply: I can't see any new updates. Also the back button still doesn't work.
The app works well for me and doesn't crash, but the recipes seem to lean vegetarian mostly. The Prepd team has done a great job of answering questions and I look forward to my Prepd pack.
The opening problem was fixed and I am able to see all of the recipes. I can't wait for my lunch box to come in.
I like it. Now, when it started to work I can see that you have done very good work :-) Two things: search option would be useful and exiting app with "back" button would be nice :-) and I hope there will be even more recipes in the future :-)
App does not launch on Galaxy SIII Android phone; crashes immediately upon attempting to open. Please address this. *** Updated 29 November 2016 *** While the Prepd app does now launch/open successfully on the Galaxy SIII Android phone, the Android "back" action is non-responsive/non-functional and there isn't a way to close the application without utilizing the Android task manager or "force stop" functions. Please address this.
App still glitches and crashes within 5 seconds
Would great great to be able to log a meal to Fitbit from each recipe.
Could you make an iPad compatible version please.
Overall good but I have a few tips: * The amount of time the "added to my prep" overlay message is shown is too long. * Often, when pressing a button, it registers it as a sideways swipe, taking me to another tab. I guess it's a bit too sensitive. * If I press back by accident it takes me to the login page and I lose my scrolling progress. * It would be good to have more dietary preferences in my profile e.g. vegetarian or max calories per meal. Thanks!
The back button at the top left of the screen makes sense for iOS but I'd rather use the phone back command which isn't working. 5 stars for a fix! Looking forward to getting my lunch box!
UI/UX is awful. Nothing is clear or intuitive. Also, why can't we choose several items for filtering? That should be a basic feature. There are no explanations whatsoever regarding lunchboxes etc.
I like the idea of this app. But the UI and navigation are clearly iOS patterns. Thus, it feels awkward to use on Android. Doesn't even support the standard back button. Would love proper Android support in the future.
The app is quite good, but could use some work on the filtering side. It's hard to find recipes based on ingredients/time/difficulty etc.
The app has stopped responding while I was browsing through all recipes. So more work to be done on the app side. The graphics is good. I have Samsung Galaxy S4 with 5.0 firmware.
The only hiccup I spotted so far, is that the pictures will sometimes show up with the lids on and sometimes they won't. So really no big deal. I do have a suggestion though: I would like to prepare food a few days in advance and freeze or refrigerate it fit later in the week (it's why I ordered extra boxes). Could one of the filters be "early prep friendly" or perhaps "freezer friendly"?
Looks good but crashes while browsing and some pictures don't show up. Added functionalities I'd love to see in future updates are a search function by time or ingredient and ratings based on price as well as time for the recipes
Very well done it shows how long this took. Some recipe pics aren't rendering and pieces are left out. Pages can jump to login screen suddenly, only fixed with app restart
App crashes. The Android hard back button works every now and then. Good start on navigation.
Won't even load. Sad, as I wanted to use it with Prepd products I ordered.
The App is looking really good at this early stage. Lovely clear navigation and design coupled with some delicious looking recipes.
Can't wait to get my Prepd lunch pack.

There weren't many vegan recipes. The navigation needs some work. Clicking on a meal box sent me to the next tab over for some reason. The built-in back button is kind of obnoxious. Why not use the phone back button?
