The fishing information contained in the popular publication Precision Trolling is a troller’s dream come true. Dubbed “the Troller’s Bible” by the tens of thousands of anglers who use this information to target fish at specific depths, Precision Trolling is just what the name implies. Precision Trolling is a method of fishing that allows anglers to accurately predict the running depths of their favorite lures and diving devices!
By manipulating lead length anglers can easily “aim” their favorite fishing lures at specific depths, accurately target fish they are seeing on their sonar while avoiding costly snagged lures. Even better, once a productive lead length is determined, it’s easy to duplicate that lure and lead length combination with other lines, putting more lures in the strike zone!
The Precision Trolling Data App goes a step further. Once an angler has determined that a particular lure and lead length are effective at catching fish, it’s easy to search for other lures in the list of Precision Trolling App that achieve similar depths. Once a productive depth is determined where fish are biting, it’s a logical step to try different lures at the same depth to determine which lure or lures fish react best to.
The new Precision Trolling Data App allows anglers to access a wealth of trolling data. The familiar “Dive Curves” made popular in the Precision Trolling book are now incorporated into easy to use “pickers” or “wheels”. The Data Wheels let you adjust the “feet down” to determine the “feet back”. This is particularly useful if you want to target fish at a certain depth that you are seeing on your sonar unit. The Data Wheel also allows anglers to adjust the “feet back” to determine the “feet down” that the lure will dive. This a fast and effective way of zeroing in on a target depth with any of the lures or diving devices included in the Precision Trolling app.

I'd gladly give this a five if all of the data from the "Bible" and the "deep water edition" was included. I still have to carry around both books and I spent $100 on the app so It's not a perfect solution. I'd also like to see everything get updated with more speed options and superliner options. It would also be awesome if there was an option to input the lure, speed, line and diving device, instead of having to calculate the lure and diving device separately.

I like the concept but for 2 dollars a bait they should at least give more line choices other than just 1 on some baits. Completely worthless when I'm running XT and the only option is fireline.

Does not have many options to choose choice of line. Only provides 3 options. Suffix 832 lead core dives deeper than other lead core lines. Speed is not able to be changed. Only option is at 2mph. No option for current speed when fishing the river. Charts would also be nice. Waste of money and time...has potential if they would make better updates.

The best app out there for the dive curves, much easier to use than the old books. i got the lifetime membership and it would have been worth twice as much!! Great job!! It is so handy to have where ever you are on the water. Do not need to have cell access to use. I love the updates always have any lure I need. No issues with the app at all and so easy to set the depth that you see fish and it will tell you how far back to set your lines from the planer board.

This app needs a favorite option. There's nothing like being on Erie in 35 degrees f and having to keep going through a ton of lures that you dont have on the boat. Then the app kept freezing, at first I thought it was because my finger tips were cold, but every thing else on the phone worked. The next thing is the app needs to display 3 options at a time instead of 1. Ex: show the line out for 1, 2 and 3 feet. Have the option to see the dive chart like the old books. Just need to make more user friendly.

This app blows and I would not recommend it to anyone. Where are the charts with the depth curves? The two major lures I needed only had information for dragging #10 test. No lead core no curves.. I can get the same garbage information from manufacturer. JUNK app. do not purchase..
