The only reason this permission pop up and need to be allowed is because the app needs to be aware of an incoming phone call during video playback. It will automatically pause the video in order for the user to take the call. The app does not do anything else with regard to that permission. However, if the app is installed without given that permission, the app will not open.

Downloaded it, tried to open it and it would open. It also wanted permission to control and manage my phone calls

I needed to download this app for my daughters' school. Not sure why they chose this app for main way of communication, it doesn't even work! Don't waste your time.

It will not allow me to create a new account. My son's school asked us to download it so they can use it, but I can't make an account. If I can get in I can give a better review
