PrayNow for Android
Would love to see the Book of Concord readings included or a hyperlink to take you to the reading.
Good overall. I wish it had the full TDP content. Music to the litany would be fantastic. The inclusion of Morning and Evening Prayer would also be nice. And links to the Book of Concord would be incredibly helpful.
I expected music the entire time I have the app open, while I am reading the daily readings. The tune plays about 5 sec.
This app offers readings for everyday of the year! I really appreciate having this tool for my daily devotions.
Like the other reviews point out... any chance of getting rid of that annoying red band that always gives the wrong date?! ie: the '29th August.' I would give it five stars if it wasn't for this glitch. Because we paid for this App I really think there should be an update to sort this little problem.
Nice to have the treasure available in Play, since the ebook is not available for buying here in Brasil on Amazon. Overall the app is a fine work, but have some bugs on showing the date in top, that always shows August 29th and the interface is developed for iOS and ported for Android, it would be nice an Android interface..

I just got an Android tablet (Lenovo A2109A with Android 4.1.1)). I asked Paul McCain of CPH if this was similar to Treasury of Daily Prayer. I've been using Treasury since it was printed, but it's a big book to haul around on vacation. Yes, this has the same content -- same OT, NT readings and articles from church fathers, both Lutheran and other catholic fathers. It contains about 1/3 of the OT and almost all of the NT. It will put the daily readings into Matins, Vespers, Compline, and the short orders of daily prayer from LSB pg 295-298. It also contains prayers for each day of the week and the Litany (and probably other stuff I haven't discovered yet). You don't have to be Lutheran to get a lot out of this. I do wish that the orders of Matins and Vespers would have an option to automatically plug in seasonal antiphon and responsory from the Altar Book, but I still give it 5 stars. Downgrading to 4 stars because it doesn't call up the right stuff for saints during lent/easter. CPH looked at and said it must be my android version.
Excellent. Easy to use. Enjoy the orders of worship and having the appointed psalms and readings in them.
Won't work on my new phone Galaxy s3. Disappointed.
After upgrading to ICS it grazes the whole phone forcing a restart!
I'm glad that the normally Apple-centric CPH is starting to make its mobile apps available for Android, but a star is removed because whoever converted this app doesn't seem to understand the Android interface. It emulates the iOS way of doing things (buttons in the upper corners of the screen, menu button does nothing, etc.) instead of being a true Android app. Again, glad this prayer resource is available, but the conversion needs work.
This is an awesome app! If you are Lutheran then this app is for you. Pray through Matins, Vespers, and Compline...All the daily readings are here and will insert the readings into the orders for ease of use. No more flipping from book to book, section to section. All it's missing is a reminder alarm.
This is a fantastic app
Thank you! I have been waiting for this update for a long time...awesome app!
I first installed on my Gingerbread phone where it works, though it's annoyingly iOS-like... However it won't load on my ICS Touchpad... :-( It would also be nice if the app could inline more parts of an order of service so you have as much of the text there in front of you. Oh, and clickable links. For example, morning prayer has "Prayer for others and ourselves" which could link to "Prayers and Thanksgivings", also "A hymn, canticle, or psalm may be sung or spoken" could link to the Psalms in the app...
This app is not compatible with samsung galaxy note
This is a great app and exactly what I would expect from the treasury. Having the music for singing psalms is wonderful. Would give 5 stars if the interface was more suitable for Android. Looks like it may be a direct port from iOS, and doesn't quite feel intuitive. Also, the sufferages appear to be missing.

I switched to Android and had to have this app. I would like to see a prayer alarm/reminder to let you know when its time to pray. Especially the mid morning , noon and mid afternoon prayers. Can't do them every day but it would be a cool option to have.
By far the best devotional app around!!
from Concordia Publishing House
I am a new catholic covert and this app helps me a lot but can you please add a favorites section for us to save prayers and add prayers for students?
thank you! thank you! thank you! I've been waiting for this update for a while. Excellent daily devotional material.
In general works great, but some glitches in Nook are annoying, like a big band across the top with the date August 29 written.
Any chance of adding the printed music for the daily offices and possibly links to the extra scripture and Book of Concord readings? Any chance of getting rid of the red band at the top of the screen that always says August 29?
By far the best devotional app around!!
I love this for my devotions!
Such a great resource!
Such a blessing!

Pray now is great. An easy and user friendly way to assist you in regular study and reflection on God's Word and prayer.
This is very useful, but it would be even better if it included the Small Catechism (which is in the Treasury). Also, when I upgraded to Jelly Bean the look and feel of the app changed in a bad way. It is now less polished and not as easy to use.

Thank you for updating the PrayNow app on Android. It's great to have it finally compatible with Android 4.0 and higher!
I have print version as well, I enjoy them both. Please fix issue with soft-buttons on tablet not formatting correctly. Unable to see all of date selection menu and general settings menu looks compressed.

I am so glad that they did this!! The scriptures are included in Matins, Vespers, etc.! Now I can listen to the Treasury of Daily Prayer music cd and just sing along with my phone! :-) Thank you, CPH!

Very good app. I'd give it five stars except it doesn't have all the chant tones. It's missing the 4-line tones I, J, & K. Fix this and you have the perfect app for Daily Prayer and Meditation. Thank you.
