About GPS NMEA Tool
GPS NMEA is a small tool to view NMEA data returned by the built-in gps receiver.
It has got three views that enables to view,
1. Summary of data which includes latitude, longitude, altitude, speed etc
2. Shows the RAW NMEA data returned by the GPS
3. Allows to pause or save (to external media) a set of sample raw data for analysis
4. Show positions and the signal strength of the satellites in view
Notes: You have to enable location access for GPS to get the location data
Also when you saving data the external media may not be accessible if its has been
mounted by the user on their computer.

Installed this free soft. It writes down messages in a textbox and then saves them on SD-card when you press Save button. While textbox is being filled by messages it slows down application on every message and it finally hangs an application if you write more than 5 minutes (i need an hour). Inacceptable for use.

You can add a bluetooth interface to your app which sends nmea data over bluetooth to pc without need of any external software. Just read the COM port of bluetooth to receive nmea data.

To make it even more awesome, the ability to email the saved NMEA messages file right out of the app would be super useful. That's my feature request. 5 stars anyways.

Very useful. And accurate.

the app displays NMEA strings in a text box. it allows saving of textbox data to a file. Over a short time , the app becomes very slow - almost hangs. The lat lon values are blank and are displayed for a very short time before it blanks again. Not useful.
