About Nexus TruID

TruID is a client application that generates One-Time Passwords (OTP). OTPs are used to provide secure identification for an organization's mission-critical systems, such as sale and e-mail systems.

TruID supports multiple profiles. Each profile can be set in challenge or synchronized mode. When run in synchronized mode, the OTP is generated after the user enters the PIN. In challenge mode the user has to enter a challenge, in addition to the PIN, to generate the OTP. The challenge is generated and provided by the TruID server.

TruID requires that your organization/provider runs PortWise Authentication Server. PortWise Authentication Server supports the radius protocol. PortWise Authentication Server also provides web service api:s to enable integration with any application that needs strong authentication to authenticate users.

On-line activation: When activating your account using a one-time activation key, the key is generated by the PortWise Authentication Server. The activation key and url is sent to the user via email or SMS. To activate your TruID client on-line, simply click on the url in your device and follow the instructions.

Manual activation: When activating your account a seed value will be generated on the PortWise Authentication Server. The seed value needs to be entered in the TruID client for the profile to be activated.

I could set it up for Vijaya Bank account but does not work. I made a NEFT transfer to test it but the OTP field had disappeared and the transaction was successful without any OTP. [ Note: When you try to change back to SMS OTP on website it will ask for OTP generated from the TruID. So do not delete your account on TruID or uninstall it before changing to SMS OTP on website. ]

I have an account in vijaya bank. And i was using nexus truid application for generating otp. But by mistake i uninstall the application. When i reinstall the app, it shows enter seed which i enter last time. But now i forget that seed. The another way to generate seed is from net banking. But for generating seed i have need soft token otp which is generate in nexus truid app. so both are connected with each other. Can u please tell me how can i resolve it.

It is OK. The one is used in IPhone showed the profile name on the page where the code is entered, making it easy to remember the code for a particular profile.

This works and I've used it for many years. Originally on a Nexus One, then Nexus S, the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and now LG G2. The problem is that the codes generated seem to be a fixed size defined in terms of pixels. On older phones, with low DPI on the screens, the text was displayed in quite a readable way. Now, I am trying to read something which has got smaller and smaller and it's too small to read. Please fix. Another thing I'd like is the use of computer fonts for the codes - i.e. 0 and O (zero and the letter O) are clearly distinguished. A font that is designed to be wholly unambiguous would be best, and why not allow users to set the font size? Finally, it's actually quite a pain to have letters and numbers with mobile keyboards. Could you just stick to one or the other? With 26 upper case and 26 lower case letters, surely that is enough. Most banks just have a 6 digit number code, and I am sure that a 1 in a million chance of guessing is secure enough given this is a two factor solution.

The font size of the generated code on my Galaxy S4 is way too small to read accurately. I can find no way of increasing the font size.
