I am trying to use this for autocross data acquisition, especially seeing user input, using a VBOX Sport as an accurate external GPS. The app is getting better, but still with some glitches, and I cannot find anywhere to get official support for it. It is important to put the phone in airplane mode, then turn on wifi to get the car data, and bluetooth if you're getting external GPS. For autocross, the phone GPS is not accurate enough. Exporting that to 'Circuit Tools' on the PC showed a course that flattened slaloms and had right-angles in the supposed car path... I'll try the car GPS and external GPS next, but I was trying to keep it simple to get the app to work. Once you make a 'track' you cannot really edit it, such as to move the start or finish, so for autocross you'd need to make a new track each event, and if you delete a track, all records from it are deleted with it. The video, when it works, has nice user-input overlays. Sometimes I find it only starting several seconds after the start... I just downloaded the latest update as of March 24, so I will report whether this is better after my next races.
