Samsung Security Policy Update for Android
Forget the pills, pumps, surgeries. This update is what finally enlarged my manhood. It's that good. You call it malware, I call it hellyesware. Can't wait for the next update; I'll make sure my wife is holding the phone when it installs. She wants some embiggening too. If B is good, C is better, right? Thx Samsung!
This app is broken I get a message every 10 minutes telling me something is trying to access secured area's of my phone. If this is true it's because I gave it access to do so. What I don't understand is why make something that warns me of something is going on but don't tell me what it is. What is trying to get access is what I want to know. Fix it or allow me to get rid of it. Maybe I should drop Samsung and go to I phone.
Been using it for a year and a half now. It's one of the best apps I've ever use. Great potential. Just needs some improvement, well a lot of improvement. But you guys are on the right track. Just keep going! I'm looking forward to the future updates.
It is bs that they can automatically update something like this. I don't really like the idea of my personal stuff being out there so ours can use it. If this messes up my phone I'm going to be pi÷$
My Samsung security policy don't want to update is telling me an attempt to access a secure area on your device without authorization has been blocked. What do I do? The security warning keep come up on my phone and to update it i can't.
It asked me if I wanted to download, and after some consideration I accepted its offer. I had made it clear that I'd want all apps to ask before updating, and it obliged. Hoping for a notification for a second update soon!
Plain and simple read their policies. They only service phones manufactured in the USA. Problem, their licensed vendors like T-Mobile or Metro phones are manufactured in China for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Vietnam for the Samsung Galaxy S7. Good luck getting them on the phone. They outsourced to countries that are not in the U.S.A. and their customer service is worse than their policies
Nice but hipocritical, probably nsa access tool, especially after nsa hard drive firmware hack found in samsung hard drive firmware, now how did that get there samsung? Check it out guys and gals. Then come back and say we are paranoid. Come on lets have it.
I'm not liking this. I have never heard of a security update for the operating system showing up in the play store. In the last few days my phone has also needed 2 other updates from ANT radio services. Great now my own cell is going to leak my identity out. :-(
You people should read what you type you sound like complete fools. This is not malware it stops or at least tries to stop people gaining access to your private information on your phone. So dont worry about the update be happy that Samsung is trying to make your private information safer.
When educated people read these comments I'm sure they get a kick out of all the dumb people who post all these aligations of spyware and them being hacked. It's just a client to download Samsung security patches automatically and check for updates. It's keeping you protected actually people.
Their last update was 2 years ago. Yeah, that's comforting to know. It seems Samsung has all but given up on all of their apps but still wants you to buy their crappy phones.
This app is designed to PROTECT your $700 investment. Its not malware but something thats put in place to prevent idiots like yourselves from installing malware garbage on your phones. You must be smarter than the equipment you're trying to operate - and obviously most of you aren't.
I never enabled automatic security updates in my menu. I actually am regularly checking it to ensure it's disabled. The app is not set to auto-update, but reinstalls itself regularly without permission. For those wondering, this is a component of Knox, notably the one that keeps it up to date and able to detect previously undetected root installations. For anyone who has their phone rooted or wants to, this is bad news. For everyone else, this doesn't concern you.
This i believe is an update for Samsung knox. After the OTA update to NG6 kernel. Samsung knox kept crashing the os causing a soft reboot. Hopefully they fixed this with this update. Knox is used to prevent users from rooting android and will keep count if the rom has been flashed and voiding the warranty. Not malware.
If you're complaining about it updating on it's own. Learn about your settings, and check the box to not allow automatic updates. Or just go buy a burner phone with cash at Walmart and decrease your paranoia. Or learn enough to root your phone and with developer options enabled, remove anything!
most you people are crying about it been some sort of malware when in fact if you look it's already on your phone! It's just an update for Samsung security! You can search on Google and it's on all of Samsung forums that it is a legit update xD
There has always been security on your phone so updating security at some point is a must especially if you have a Samsung device that's going to get the lollipop update. Plus if you haven't been paying attention to news they are trying to keep the big dogs that run America from being able to access data through your phone. Calm down and do some research first!!
Can someone help me understand when an app say it takes your media files location and pretty much everything on your phone, like these games my 10 year old is always wanting to download is that something to be concerned about, because I have stuff from work on my phone. I really don't want my info out there for the world to see. I didn't realize when I made a Gmail account it would be linked to everything either or I would have never done it. I wish they still made blackberries. It was safer. Help??
Ever since this update installed I can't get rid of the "Security Notice" claiming unauthorized access to phone blocked. Even in safe mode I get the same message. Any one that can, please help, I've even called Samsung they sent me to their "security department" and they couldn't even resolve it.
I don't know why some of these so called boffins who know soo bloody much about Samsung yet they have the equipment why complain morons u bought the product nobody forced u to buy. I love my Samsung and have never had a problem. Some people just like bad publicity and r anti Samsung shame on you all. IDiOTs
This is NOT Spam, malware or any other things you try to call it. This is for your Smart Phone's safety. Just like a computer has updates. So all calm down and STOP giving it a one star and saying bad things. Go email, call Samsung or your Tech guy with your carrier and ask them.
I know I was loving my phone, but it's been dropping wifi, AT&T service was somehow auto forwarding... (I wasn't making calls that showed up), and I can't install a Samsung app to pair my gear fit... So if it's Samsung.... maybe that's why the update won't load. I'll be checking to see if I can uninstall it and then try again bf taking my gear back.
I'm neither an idiot nor conspiracy theorist, but I do know when my privacy is being taken without permission. Yes I can turn off auto update; doesn't always work with Samsung's preinstalled apps. Yes I can force stop - which ends up with my phone locking up, or apps freezing for no reason. The question remains why I don't have the CHOICE to use a security software of my own choosing. The question remains why I can't uninstall Samsung apps I don't want to use without compromising my privacy and phone!

The app is not set to auto-update, but reinstalls itself regularly without permission. When rooting your phone this app gets in the way of su working right... especially if your phone comes with it aka stock app aka bloatware..... this app just takes up about 40+ megabytes of memory on your phone...I can safe gard my phone 10× better with a rooted phone. I'm using a Samsung galaxy note 4... Samsung puts this app on there phones as a stock app to help protect it and manly to to try and prevent root access.

I wouldn't have a problem if it worked correctly on my Samsung Galaxy S5. It asks me 5-10 times a day to update security. Each time I do it says no updates are needed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it still continues with the same pattern. Is this how it's suppose to work??
Did you know that you can set your google store settings to NOT auto update. People who complain just dont know have to use their phones or even apriciate the hard work people put in to to keep our stuff secured.
To everyone flipping their lids, this is not an app or any kind of data miner! This is designed to keep you from putting malware and other viruses on your phone! This program is going to DETECT security problems! Not make them! Saying this is malware is like saying windows defender is a virus! Ps. This was always on your phone, ever since you bought it
My accounts are freezing~Twitter..when I share or send a message. Facebook.. is slow loading. My mail loads slow and has a hard time connecting to the internet. When I uninstall these issues get better. Your update is horrendous!
In addition to the many others who are asking you to read the description and calm down, I'd like you all to realize that YOU can choose whether EACH application from the Play Store is automatically updated or not. After you click on the app from your list of installed ones in Play, hit your menu button (bottom left) and un check the box for auto-update. Then you get notifications when there are updates and YOU decide whether and when to update. But you will not be able to uninstall most bundled software
If all you "tech savvy" peeps read...you can uninstall of ya don't want it. Seriously with all the crap apps out there and probably on your phone you worry about this. Grow up kiddies and go back to school. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. LMAO!
This is not a malware. Secondly its in ur play store settings to auto update apps... Its preloaded in ur device and like other apps and games it is getting updated. To change dat change the settings of ur play store n swtch off auto updats.. Pagle angrez, motti buddhi..
There are a lot of people on here who shouldn't have smart phones. County courts are spying on us?? Really? Calm down and do some research rather than read other people's comments and flipping out. Ironically, you can do this research on your smart phone!
This isn't Spyware. It's an update to help keep your phone secure. And to those complaining about conspiracy should sell your 700 phone and go by a 20 prepaid that has no features. Half of you wouldn't last.
Mine didnt automatically update. Coz i changed the settings. Check ur own, fools. And for the record. Its malware. Its the government watching every text you send because they need to know what time ur meeting your friends for drinks on friday!!!! Crazy maaaaan.
First this app somehow miraculously appeared on my phone without my knowledge, then it starts popping up telling me that something has been blocked as it tried to access my phone without my permission. So I try and get it to show me this threat. Do you think it can? No. So I try to uninstall it. And it pops up again. Fine. I will work with it. Pop up appears again. I notice there is a "do not show for 30 days." So I click that. What comes up the very next time I try to open Chrome? You got it. Stupid app.
If you're complaining about it updating on it's own. Learn about your settings, and check the box to not allow automatic updates. Or just go buy a burner phone with cash at Walmart and decrease your paranoia. Or learn enough to root your phone and with developer options enabled, remove anything!

I saw a review that was asking about if they still made BlackBerry phones. Actually, the new BlackBerry KEYone comes out at the end of May 2017 in Canada, and has one of the best security on an Android device. Also has a physical keyboard, if that's your thing. Everytime you boot it up it it searches for malware, pretty neat. It's about $549. It's made by the best smart phone company in the world. They have quality, and, even better, they're Canadian.
