Pogoplug Cast

Pogoplug trying to screw their customers for more money for a product others provide for free. You can cast your P drive folder for free if you use SME to stream to your TV. This way Cloud engines Inc does not get a penny more of your money to view your media.

Why make a separate app, why not make this a feature with the app that I already pay for. This is why once my time is up I will not be sticking with this company.

I bought the pogo plug and qith that you think this would be free , it's not. Don't buy either one

The pogoplug is great, but the fact that you have to pay for every little thing to make the hardware functional is crap. A month after buy the pogoplug, I can't cast videos in my local network anymore unless I pay 30$ for a lifetime subscription.

First, this is a30 day trial, after that they want $30 for what many, many other apps on here do for free and with a simpler more intuitive ui. I purchased a pogoplug device and the fact that this app is incompatible and costs additional is ridiculous. I'll stick with one of the many free apps that do the same thing

I like being able to cast my media easily, would get five stars if it had a wider file type comparability.

Wow! I have enjoyed Pogoplug for a number of years. It was Ok+. Then came an offer to install Pogoplug Cast. Its like pogoplug on steroids!. It finds my music track and is playing it, whilst pogoplug was waiting for the trsck to appear. I can now look at my pictures and play my music at the ssme time! Video plays without interuption. I have it on my LG phone and my Samsung tablet. Its a great app. Thanks Pogoplug.

Crashed immediately after playing the first video...after restarting, second video was all choppy/staggering frames and when I was finally able to regain UI control, it would not navigate up through the folders; had to force close....and $30, to stream my OWN content from my $50/year Pogoplug cloud? I can ALREADY click Play Original -> Open Once and select Avia, which had Chromecast support over a year ago for a $0.99 'unlock fee'...Pogoplugcast has stopped responding REPORT|OK over and over ... Ugh

Currently on a trial. It took desktop app a long time to process a single folder containing 6 files (average 500 MB in size and none exceeding 600 MB). Supported formats are limited currently so streaming .mpg is not possible. Tried streaming a clip from pogoplug cloud and it worked flawlessly. I am sure there is a lot of room for improvement and improvements will come with time. Reason for 2 stars is that app was trying to read my SMS messages. Yeah ... why does it need to read my SMS messages is beyond comprehension. Please add more information on what these permissions are for.

Very user friendly and affordable compared to most cloud based storage systems. Integrates easily with Chromecast.

Other applications let you use casting for free. This one is a $30 add-on

Wasn't sure what the complaints were about paying. I wanted to cast from my phone. App said I needed to pay $29.99 and a Samsung Galaxy note 4 was not supported. Deleted in minutes and not looking back. This was for items stored on my hard drives hooked to a pogo plug. Keep this up and you will lose long time fans/users.
