Podkicker Pro for Android
The best podcast player for android phones. Simple and easy to use. I've tried others, but keep coming back to it. Only downside is that the interface is very basic and finding some of the functions can be hard.
Latest version doesn't remember play speed, so that needs to be set every time you start the app (I use 1,6x speed).
Overall this is a great app and I use it regularly. Desperately needs some UI improvements to keep up with the times. Wish it would stop after selected download instead of auto-playing the next download
Few minor issues since upgrading to marshmallow, but I figure it is due to listening to podcasts at 2x speed and android's built in speed adjustment. Also will not work with Bluetooth. Plays but no audio is present
I wanted to update my review. I've used this as my podcasting app of choice for years and continue to love it. Minimal design with no distractions. Frequent updates demonstrate the creator cares. Can't wait for the new, foretold version comes out.
I like the features and layout of this app. Knocked a star for inconsistent download connections; however, it is easy to resume downloads if you notice they didn't complete.
Update deleted all my subscriptions.
The BEST podcast app with the best interface. It's easy and straightforward to use with great features.
My favorite Podcast app on Android
Finally! A good podcast app for Android with a good selection of available podcasts. So far every podcast I have in iTunes has been available here too. I like how the app gives me the option to stream or download podcasts. The app's UI has some intermittent problems (podcast thumbnails not loading etc) but the app is still functional.
I just reinstalled the app to see if it was working again. I connected to a bluetooth speaker and it plays now. Great app. Not cluttered up with additional gimmicks. Runs super smooth. Love the app I've used it for years, tried other apps, but just will not use anything else.
Not bad, but one big thing missing. It desperately needs a backup. Not just your podcasts to opml, but everything. Which ones you've actually listened to, which ones you haven't. Listened position etc. After having to reset my phone I'm not looking forward to recovering my podcasts yet again.
I would like sync so my settings saves. Needs patch asap for nougat (playback error 38)
Overall an excellent product, but it is driving me mad right now. If I switch between headphones and a bluetooth speaker while listening (such as when i'm listening on my way home and then I arrive home and it automatically switches to bluetooth) it is impossible to stop or pause playback. My only option is to force close the app, which is quite inconvenient. Fix that and the review goes back to 5 stars!
Used the free, advert- riddled version for years happily and it worked flawlessly. Changed to the paid version and it's hopeless. Podcasts are downloaded haphazardly, keep finding that it's streaming or only half a podcast exists. Really really annoying.
Again, after working well for a while, with the latest update in 2017, it's been randomly crashing or playback will stop for no obvious reason.
Reliable, minimalistic and functional podcast manager. I have been using it for more than a year and don't feel the need to try any other app.
I've been using this for two years now and it hasn't change much, it was ok them but now feels outdated. It lacks an option to sync your podcast in the case you have to change phone or reset it wich I've had to do on a lot of occasions on this two years. Also no way to see only downloaded episodes on a podcast, so keeping old favorites is not easy, you have to browse through every single episode to get to the one you want or search in the downloads.
Podkicker had been my default player for years, I've just moved to Player.FM as there is no Android Wear support and doesn't look like it will be coming anytime soon. Also for many auto support would also be nice.
This just keeps getting better with each update. BUT... does not do virtual folders for already downloaded files. Also video casts with ability to play in background would be nice.
Podcasts are increasingly more important. Podkicker has the best features, appearance, and quality. It's miles ahead of its closest competitor. Don't hesitate, get this app now. Update: still solid, still the best.
Keep the free version. DO NOT BUY. Impossible to find SD card storage, and there's no support.
Been using this app for years. Not without its bugs - i.e. always download a podcast because if you stream, it often cuts out at an inconvenient time and is hard to resume streaming again. But generally speaking - it works.
It's ok for searching and downloading podcasts. Can't backup podcasts to computer though as Podkicker refuses to see them when placed back in the download folder and then deletes them when refreshed. No way to save podcasts to the sd card either.
Love the app, but it keeps umsubscribing me from loads of my podcasts, deleting oned I've downloading and reseting what I've listened to every update. Didn't used to do this before a few iterations ago.
Used to be a great app. Now constantly crashes. I'm currently looking for another podcast app.
Not an intuitive interface to put it mildly. Lots of boring old stuff & the USA is not the centre of the universe although you'd think it from the English content on this app.
I want share a playing podcast in twitter. Don't want to find it in "episodes" list and "share link to media because. I have too many subscriptions.
Overall good, but...it pauses randomly while playing podcasts.
An excellent app which handles everything you need for a happy podcast listening experience. I bought the pro version to support the developers.
Simple and elegant, stable and useful. One of the best apps I ever bought.
Simplicity is a lost art for too many apps. This is light and easy to use. Best podcast app I've found.
Really intuitive and has access to iTunes, RSS feeds and more which makes it very accessible
Great app, really easy to use and just works!!
Does what it says on the tin. Just Works.
Great app. Premium is worth every penny just to support these guys.
Stänger av sig konstant
Low resources and works well
Fast, simple, and intuitive podcast manager.

Am REINSTALLING HOPE THAT FIXES IT.......(It downloads but doesn't play the episodes it used to work fine under Android 4.3. Now it just denies their are any downloads present)
