Very disappointing. Before subtitles were slow and laggy, but at least they worked. Now they don't work at all on the second device despite perfect audio visuals on the first.

Usually doesn't work. What a piece of technical garbage. Why cant they put the subtitles directly on the screen, instead of this complicated convoluted mess? I can't understand the operas without subtitles. I subscribed to the livestreaming app through amazon app store and it doesn't work in combination with this Android app. And they never respond to support emails. When you call overseas support phone, just like the typical Viennese. Arrogant and full of themselves, but a bunch of worthless jerks. Avoid this like the plague. I'm out more than $150 over it. What a mistake!

Downloaded. Paired up. Still won't show subtitles. Why is this how they do subtitles? They were on the stream during the intro. Why should I stare at an app on my phone instead of the performance anyway?

Edit: The server was down during the live showing of Tosca with Jonas Kauffman, very disappointing. Old review: The second screen subtitles just dont work very well at all. They are not synchronized, sometimes they fall way behind the singing. They also stop updating and require a restart of the app. Other times the app loses the audio signal and has trouble getting it back, even though the audio from the stream is clear and loud. I don't know why they wont just put the subtitles at the bottom of the streaming video like every other opera broadcast. Watching an opera with the app's subtitles is just a frustrating experience. They are trying to be clever and high tech but it just doesn't work.

Subtitles worked and could be read simultaneously on 2 mobiles. Synchronisation lagged slightly but was still acceptable. Subtitles seemed oversimplified. The best is still to have subtitles at the bottom of the screen though.

It does what it supposed to do which is enable live streaming of events, which is all well and good but is there any way this app could be extended further to connect to your account established via your PC thus making it multi-channel.

Rarely works as it should. Constantly having to restart to synch subtitles. Unfortunately it's the only way to get subtitles - not good enough! Sometimes it crashes continually and is unusable. EDIT even worse now it crashes ALL the time.

This handy app provides subtitles for "live streaming" (and same-day time-delayed) simulcasts from the Vienna State Opera via Internet or Samsung Smart TV. Too bad (for my guests) I found out about this AFTER my first live simulcast. This first simulcast offering was the beloved Otto Schenck production of Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier.
