Anticipate - Browser Tool for Android
Features:
- Customize blacklist/whitelist of link-scanning
- Monitor links being pre-loaded
- QuickSwitch Bubbles (beta): opens up Custom Tabs to start loading a page, then immediately switches back to your previous app, with a bubble to open the loaded page
When a link is found, Ancitipate does the following using Chrome Custom Tabs*:
- DNS pre-resolution of the main domain
- DNS pre-resolution of the most likely sub-resources
- Pre-connection to the destination including HTTPS/TLS negotiation
- Pre-render the page**
*according to the Chrome Custom Tabs documentation
**only on non-metered connections (e.g. WiFi)

Inspired by Chromer (by Arun Kumar) for using Chrome Custom Tabs. Brought pre-loading, dynamic toolbar color, and QuickSwitch Bubbles first to the market.
Much better than Chromer, and I had been a Chromer user since day one. This app simply rocks and has made my web browsing experience a lot more comfortable.
Share functionality doesn't work with multiple bubbles. It doesn't make any effect, works with only one bubble which is not kind of useful.
It does exactly what it advertises: loading web pages opened from other apps in Chrome custom tabs, and this app outpaces its competition such as Chromer as it can have several custom tabs simultaneously instead of being limited to 1, which means I can open up other pages in other apps without having to lose the previously open custom tab.
But don't like that it seems to brighten the screen momentarily if I have them activated along with a screen filter like flux.
I love Chrome Custom Tabs and Anticipate adds them to every app. It's got plenty of options and a fantastic developer behind it.
Needs lots more work to overall look and function, IMO. We don't only want to enter a URL but need to enter a search as well. Search bubble takes forever to load (I know that it's still in beta, but...)
No open animation in bubble only exit animation fix this I will change my rating
Way better in performance than chromer
Won't detect webpage color, it's always custom color
Best. App. Ever.
App is working fine but I keep on getting app has stopped working pop up whenever I use it. Also getting redundant open in anticipate option in the settings.
This app seems to be a big battery drain
Haven't tested it as I stopped using it due to frequent crashing...hopefully they fixed the problem with the latest update. UPDATE..appears to be fixed...added a star.
When browsing a web link in Facebook, the app keeps crashing and shuts down the Facebook app instead of returning to the news feed when the back button is pressed.
Please copy Chromer's right-click features.
Yeah whitelist totally fixed the battery drain! Thanks.
People can't read it is NOT like Chromer, when you open an app with links in it, it will load ALL the pages so when you open them they load instantly. So if there are several links on the screen and you are on 3G it will be slower to load if you click a link directly (because it's loading the others too), but if you are for example reading an article all links will open instantly after. I'd like a wifi only feature.
Both are awesome. The Anticipate Dev has himself mentioned that he got inspired from Chromer. So guys, what's the issue here?
Screw bad devs! Heard about Chromer dev taking your code and not open sourcing it. FOSS rules
Recently switched from Chromer, and I do have a question, will Anticipate ever include shared login data like Chromer has?
Look at all these 1 star reviews from salty Indians, it's a great app, see for yourselves.
I anticipate that Chromer will add new features after each update plusCubed releases.

Even if it wasn't better, I'd rather use this than contribute to that Chromer developer's selfish, stealing, illegal GPL violations and general ridiculousness.
The Dev has mentioned that inspired from Chromer. This is the concept of chromer only. Posting again after reading dev's reply : appreciate your openness of accepting the idea from Chromer. You intellectuals please share your knowledge to users like us. I am giving two more stars!! Daniel is a genuine guy. Again appreciated. Added one more star. Because the original idea is from Chromer I give 4 stars. Let us avoid using phrases "salty Indians" here please.
Most of the application use accessibility, meaning all are copied your source? Did you validate the code? Sorry again one star The logic for the code used in both app are universal. Every one has to follow the same coding... Example for loop.... Hope you understand my concern. Let me stop here by giving 3*
Great app with some great original ideas. The drama isn't worth getting into.
Good job!!!
Switched from chromer today, but i don't find any benifit of switching. CHROMER seems to be much better in every terms.
Switched from Chromer after they stole your open source code to add the preloading features. Always prefer open code if I have the option. Thanks for the perfect app
Far better than chromer and truly open source too.
Integrated with Android in an amazing way. Lazy app devs should get with CCT
Only thing missing is a share button.

Great
Awesome
Chromer is coolr.
Works perfectly. Also glad to see it doesn't override links in Chrome. Nice work!
Please add more customizable features like in Chromer

It's great, certainly not a full fledge browser, but for its intended purpose (quickly opening links) it's all most people need. For serious browsing, open Chrome, but this is great if you just need to visit one website through a link. Good work!
