Unlike most new services, not any server issues. Only issue i encountered was an unexpected quit without error. Recorded and downloaded successfully. I would prefer an option for monthly and/or yearly unlimited recording subscription rather than pay per download. That gets too expencive. Other than this, the app and service is great!

The second this service asks me to PAY per download is the second I couldn't care less about using it. I pay for Netflix, I pay for Amazon Instant (and those services ALREADY have download options now) so there's zero chance of me paying by the download to use this service on top of those fees. I paid for a lifetime plan WAY back because the premise is a great one but alas I have yet to use this service...

Ultimately not worth the trouble. Much like PlayOn for the desktop, the new app is still too cumbersome to make it worth the effort. Yes, they have eliminated the need for a desktop running concurrently, but still... You sign in to the PlayOn app (wifi has to be on). You select a channel. Then you must sign in to that service. Then you have to use a badly organized menu to find what you want (good luck with YouTube). Then you have to record it, which takes as long as it does to watch it (wifi or data still on the entire time). But you can't watch it yet, no! THEN they send you an email with a link, which asks you to sign in AGAIN to PlayOn so you can download it, which may or may not work & AGAIN takes forever (yup wifi or data still on). Oh, and Amazon Prime Video doesn't work. Won't let you sign in & customer service won't answer. So... why would I bother to use this? Why is this better, really, than the desktop version, either? And why, oh, why would I PAY for recordings when I can just pay to stream it for so much less trouble (using less than half the data or time on wifi to do so)?!!! This is badly designed, inferior software, frankly. UNINSTALLED.

The app randomly quits self. The back button doesn't work. The app takes forever to launch. The app interface is bad. There is no clarity on credit system. It's not worth the trouble to install

I had stopped using playon because it was such a hassle to transfer it to my phone when it was done. So glad to be able to use it conveniently right up until I saw you had to pay for each download. 25 to 40 cents a piece. I already paid for the desktop version, now I have to pay per download if I want convenience. Thanks for nothing.
