This is the worst app ever in my experience. Crashes, hangs, slow. Won't even open now.

Never works. Will not load ePaper on my Android phone. Unusable and unacceptable.

Works once or twice a week, the worst app i use, have WSJ and London Times with zero problems, complained prior with no responsw

Fails often, refuses to load often, slow always, blocks if the image do not render properly.

Slow and poor rendering navigation is impossible. IPad app works better than android, which is an exercise in futility.

As much as I like the Plain Dealer, the app is extremely glitchy and annoying. Some days it works fine. Other days it doesn't even load. And, since daily home delivery was cancelled, when the app fails to work I go without reading my paper. Not cool!

Used to work poorly, now just sits at a blank screen and flashes a message that says "checking for updates." Guess I'll have to cancel my PD subscription since they won't deliver it and the app doesn't work. Recently they added a screen BEFORE you get to the paper, just one more annoying click and its ensuing agonizing wait before the actual paper comes up. Even before the current complate failure, it's been getting WORSE and worse.

You'd think the largest paper in Ohio would make sure their app worked BEFORE discontinuing daily home delivery. Maybe someone should bring in their 4 year old grandchild to fix the problem.

After the recent update, this app is completely unacceptable. Give us back the older version.

What did you do during the app update to go from bad app to completely useless? This deserves a 0 rating, which is a notch below 'Hate it.' I was unable to report the useless app as non-delivery of my paper. Doesn't work on any of my android devices!

Read the growing number of reviews. It is performing about as good as the new government is going to on Jan 20. A total suck experience.

Sometimes it works, but very buggy on Android. Have to restart it a lot.

Since the last upgrade, it takes forever to download and can't move easily from page to page. Also I now have to sign in every time. There have been times that I have had to completely exit and start again.

With the latest Jan. 2016 update, no icon appears on the desktop or in applications. I can only use the app if I "open" it from my apps in the Google Play Store. Very frustrating. Had to uninstall and then reinstall to fix this.

Unable to use app w/Android device because articles will not scroll. IOS device works OK.

This app is a joke. Still will not scroll on a Galaxy Tab 7. It works great if all you want to see is the first paragraph of an article. Also shuts down 4-5 times every time I go to use it on my Android phone. Was this app written for a Commodore 64?

Locks up constantly. Hogs resources. Plain dealers infantile attempt to compete with the real newspapers. update 3/16 - I scrolled through all the ratings and only count 3 '5 star' reviews. Where does the number 22 come from? This app still sucks, shame on you PD.

This app has been so bad for so long I can only assume they don't want people to use it. One person working part time could have at least fixed it enough to support finding and then reading an article. Right now that seems to be almost impossible.

Someone needs to be fired immediately. there is no possible way that someone who took pride in their work what allow this app to become a professional public face of a responsible and competent organization as the Cleveland Plain Dealer shame on the plain dealer for allowing this app to exist

I guess this app is for tablets only. Even with a magnifying glass i wouldn't be able tho read it on my phone

All this app is ...really. ..is a scan of the pages made to fit the screen you are viewing it on...seriously. ..YOU THINK someone can actually read this...did the editor or any editor see this before it went into production?

Articles no longer scroll on the bottom of the screen since my nexus 7 tablet was updated to android 5.0

You took a bad app and made it worse. Can't enlarge to see it any more. You just drove me to the News-Herald goodbye.

Still buggy. Barely workable.

Putting a 15x22" broadsheet on a 5" phone will NEVER work. This app causes phone-smashing levels of frustration: non-standard controls and icons; long load times; ultra-tiny and blurry pages; jittery scrolling; broken zoom; missed articles in article-to-article swiping... the list of problems is endless. The tablet experience is only slightly better. Until the PD realizes that no one wants a "replica of the printed newspaper" on their phone, fires Tecnavia, and builds a modern mobile-first app (like MIX), the Plain Dealer will continue to infuriate its paying subscribers.

We get it. The PD is phasing out home delivery and print editions. Subscribers continue to pay for an e-edition that is so buggy as to not be worth the time and frustration. Is this a proud paper's death spiral?

Not only is it apparent that the PD doesn't wish to print a paper, or give you credit if you have a vacation stop, now you can't print an article or puzzle if using an adroit base device. Your app is worthless.

This version is even worse than the previous one - doesn't even work more than half the time. How can I support the local paper if I can't even read it? Is anyone at the PD listening?????
