Control over personal information is your universal human right and PlaceMask Location Privacy for Android™ assists you in maintaining location privacy against threats accessing your GPS and Network location (e.g. location-based advertising and profiling apps).
We are focused on delivering technologies that reduce location leakage from on-board GPS and Wireless Network location sources to protect your privacy. Your mobile carrier may still know where you are (roughly) but the applications on your device will not. If you want to anonymize your IP address, consider also using a proxy.

I've used this app for some time now. It seems to work fine in providing a replacement masked location. I like it a lot. The only quirk I've found so far is that my Malwarebytes App warns about the use of the developer mode (in Android settings) to allow location mask replacement, saying the use of developer mode can break some apps, and saying my device has "issues", with an option to "Fix" it, by turning off the developer mode. Did this just temporarily, then turned Placemask back on. No problems.

Why does it need to read private emails? Does it forward them to anyone? Does it actually read them? IF YOUR APP DOES ANY OF THE ABOVE YOUR BREAKING THE LAW AND I WILL BRING HELL FIRE DOWN ON YOUR COMPANY!

As advertised. No issues whatsoever. I've only encountered a couple of apps that it can't fool. Those apps report NO location information at all. :) I would, however, like to have the ability to save favorite locations. Maybe one day...

One major improvement can make it the best thing to ever have happened. Make is possible to save about five to six favourite locations which can be selected with tab!

I think it's an excellent app for types of undercover and investigative work. Only issue is, it kills the ability to use gps on your phone. If there is a way to adapt it for cellphone gps navigation use, it would be a 5 all the way.

Works as described....has the ability to re-set generalized location stats in the U.S as well as any country...can also set specific location within any country or state. Maximum privacy can randomly change location from 1km to 10,000km. Would like a log within the app to show tracking attempts incorporated In a future update. Thanx delv...for an Innovative privacy solution.

Great app that automatically spoofs your location and does so without root. My only criticism is that this app needs a widget (or button within the app) that allows me to switch between the app running and my location settings being off and the app being off and my location settings running normally. Currently switching off this app to utilize Google maps for driving is a bit of a chore

Since installing the gps is working like crazy and battery life dropped to 8h on S4 after full charge. Not sure why this is so esp as the app was not even enabled. Waste of time. If you want to hide your location turn off location setting. Unistalled.

It can read all your sms which is not truly private. Also, the map disappeared after a while. I cannot see my location anymore. I want my refund.
