Noise Meter for Android
Its horrible and retarded
I would like to add a vibration then noise near sensitive location. And record history save data. Very good to show this nose information bar are running sample.
Default value is wrong (lower) around 10dB(A), dev should check that. Other than that, works fine
Better than most, only limited by built in mic
Great for meetings! Helps people with volume issues to project or tone it down.
Great sound meter app, love the multitude of values it can display, the configurability in terms of resolution, gain, filtering, plus the addition of the spectral analysis view was a great surprise. Then came the snapshot functionality, the frequency-vs-time graph, the multiple filter curves and so on and so on. I don't think you can find anything more functional on the app store today.
Great. Fantastic. Best app ever. Can I use the app without the "rate me" nag messages now?

Great. Nice looking, easy to use
Great!!
Feature request: scalable x-axis in spectrum mode
Very practical app to know ambience noise or sound level. No spamming with ads clean interface.
This app gives good readings if you set it correctly. For dBA, set the filter for A weighting. Also I needed to add a cal adjustment of 16 db.
Been using this app for a very long time. Love it.
Good app
Lets you know what you are experiencing.
I loved it!
This is far more than a decibel meter. It also displays frequencies (50Hz to 20,000Hz) along with the decibels, and the relationship between the two... or just decibels via a graph... or simple numbers. This app not only is the most useful of the half dozen I tried, it is also beautifully designed, After seeing this, I uninstalled all the others. This is definitely the go-to version.
Sound level indicator. Easy install, easy to use, great general purpose gauge of noise levels. Also doubles as a reminder to very vocal individuals at your table.
Great sound meter app, love the multitude of values it can display, the configurability in terms of resolution, gain, filtering, plus the addition of the spectral analysis view was a great surprise. Of course, calibration is always going to be a problem when you write a piece of software for so many different hardware platforms that support it, for example on my HTC One (M7) the reading is about 17-18 dBA lower than what a hardware sound meter shows me in the same setting, and it only improves to about 13 dBA when I switch to the secondary mic at the top. But other than that it's fantastic - I don't think you can find anything more functional on the app store today.
Great app to get an 'indicative measure' to support any occupational safety recommendation for a full survey with an integrated noise level meter and evaluation.
Does what it says, but i dont know how silence in my flat can be 25db s....??
It works, Only as good as phone. Use it as a mixing aide from time to time
Great free decimeter :))
Nice and simple app
This dB meter records way lower than others. With my hearing very sensitive to loud noises (tinnitus) and the discomfort I feel, I would expect much higher readings. I do have a quality instrument to check it against.
I have spent 2 full days looking for a sound meter to help me in a particular application. Tried over 10 different meters and this is the winner. Accurate, properly science based, good display and logging capability and no ads or bloat.
Works well enough for a free app, great for bands and work environment
Very nice application. .....really very helpful. ..like it
best sound meter
East
A very nice app - everything I need. A pity that I could not get it to 'see' my pro USB mic adaptor so I am stuck with using the internal mic of unknown performance on my Lenovo A10. Fidly to calibrate the mic gain but I got there in the end. I like it!
The app is really nice, very intuitive and smooth, however the measurements are wrong, or at least for Samsung s6. Also the scale like "noisy room" is wrong. Can't it also listen on two microphone simultaneously? The screen shot is also contains error, instead of showing db ls it shows lumens.
Good for a basic dB app. I'm sure paid apps have the extra whistles and bells I'd like amplitude line cut options.
I've tried a bunch of them, and so far this is the most accurate. It's has a light meter which means I can remove an extra app.
It's more than I ever thought
The best one
All the required features are there and it is the only app able to detect sound above 81 DB on Nexus 5 with Android 6.0. The graph could be a little smoother though. However, the measurements are inaccurate on Nexus 9.
We use this software in Airport Construction.

It works pretty good in my Moto X (1st Gen). I want to log the time when my neighbors start to doing noises in the morning and how much loud; adjusting some settings and keeping my phone plugged to the charger this app works great!
