Proximity Alert

Buggy but still useful. Been using it for my train commute. Sometimes the alarm is too late. Sometimes one of my alarms goes off before it's even close to the target. I listen to podcasts and when the alarm goes off and I dismiss it, the volume has changed. Don't see the point of repeat alarm, alarm dismiss, alarm dismiss, alarm dismiss??? Map feature is weak.

I use this to remind me when I am driving past a store or to send a text when I get home. Map interface is is a little wonky, but everything else is good.

Works good but my screen is 6 inch some difficulties

Works very well with GPS on all the time (battery usage ok Note 4). Initially a bit of trial and error to set map area for alarm to sound, but now goes off as required - very useful especially bus and train journeys. Only issue is when alarm sounds and you miss or fumble the 'turn off' screen button, can't see how to turn it off without restarting the phone!

Promising app but let down with the 4 minute refresh and by the fact that you have manually enter lats and longs of points of interest.

Nother awful gps alarm app... can't search for locations to add. Big failure, again.

Not accurate enough when on a train. By sampling GPS only once every 4 minutes means it is impractical for use on trains.

I have been using this for awhile now and it is excellent in every way. Many customizable options. Locations can be saved via the map or by GPS position. This app can be used in many different ways. It can serve as a GPS address book, a general proximity alert, or even a "to-do task" app. This app will even automatically send an SMS with your customizable text when you reach a location, or make a phone call for you, or even download a specific file. Many thanks to the developer for making this available, and it is even free. NO ADS. This app is free, but it is worth paying for. Highly recommended. Galaxy S3.

Good app but intermittent response to alarms. Reason being that Gps checks for locations every 4 minutes which is a very long time period and in a moving vehicle 4 minute intervals almost always allows a gps fix to be missed. This program needs to be fine tuned. Basically useless.

Just downloaded app , looks good so far. I'll update review after more usage. One thing that would be helpful is Time / Date constraints to stop false alarms. And ringtone /notification /alarm sound selection . INDIVIDUAL SOUND SELECTION for each location is AWESOME, no other apps I tried do this ! !

But then I realized it could be so much more! Day/time restrictions, and/or/nand/nor for multiple locations would make this app even better!

Rich and flexible feature wrapped in a tiny app! I love it more than some other bloated similar apps!

Good UI. Works as it should. Can have some more improvements by allowing to pick a spot on the map, currently it only allows keying in GPS coordinates out using the current location

This is the dumbest thing I ever seen. There are no instructions how to put in the alerts or how to delete the one alert that comes with.

The best so far. Can use a couple of improvements but does the job better than any other popular location alarm

Wonderful app than even works without a data connection. As an avid hiker, I frequently need to hide a hiking item that I realize that I should not have taken on my hike. On my way back, this app helps me locate it by playing music as I approach it.

Needs a more intuitive interface with a more simplified way of imputing and locking in locations manually

I have used this on the train and road trips. Fantastic, though not if you have a data only tarrif, as no email/im function.

When I first tried the app it didn't seem to work. However it is now working great. I use the app to log the days I'm working at set locations. I could never seem to remember to log my time at each location. Now as I approach a set location I get an alert and a text message. I reply to the text message with information I need to log. I have another app that dumps text messages to a csv file that I import into excel. Now I have dates times and notes/information I need. Great app.

Galaxy S4. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. I set an alarm about a mile away, the alarm would sound as soon as I enabled it. Another alarm sounded as I plugged the phone into the charger at night, over a mile away, after being set for hours, and having been much closer earlier than now, when it went off. The alarm sometimes goes off miles after I pass a point.

But, it's not working after i left to other app. It should be always working in the background. A widget for on/off feature would be much useful. Almost perfect

Works flawlessly. Use it to wake up when my train gets to the station. And no ads or spam! I'd give the guy $ for it if I could.

I have maps and alarm tab, but can't seem to add an alarm no matter what I do. There is NO menu option to add

I am quite pleased with this on my phone. However, I discovered that this is not available on my tablet, Samsung Galaxy S. If it is supported as well, I will change to 5 stars.

Would have been more useful if it can speak a custom notification using TTS.

app fails to alert while phone is locked, goes off when i unlock my phone. defeats the purpose. is there a fix? thanks!

I use this to warn me about intersections with red light cameras...works great. Dont disable alarm after it goes off, turn on/off alrm x loc.

Difficult to add locations that are not your current location, all appears to be a battery eater

Nice idea, but it consumed 81% of my battery life in a day.

For once, a functional, good-looking Android app that doesn't annoy! It has the features you would expect and is pleasant to use. I will reward the fifth star for the option not to show a notification on the phone and silently carry out the desired task without you being told. Good work! Recommended.

Exactly what I've been needing for a few things I keep forgetting to do. And it seems to be pretty robust and has a lot of useful features. Doesn't seem to be limited by lack of functionality either, so the possibilities for use should be nearly endless.
