Simply and accurately scan any linear VIN barcode and quickly share the VIN through email or SMS.
Pixo's Vehicle Barcode Scanner Pro is uniquely optimized to accurately scan linear VIN barcodes — including through windshield glare and in a variety of indoor/outdoor lighting situations. NOTE: This app does NOT provide additional information about the vehicle beyond basic year and make.
Only in the Pro version:
• Access previous scans in the HISTORY feature and enter MODEL or NOTES.
• Share, delete, or copy MULTIPLE vehicle records.
• Show the LOCATION of the scan on a MAP.
How it works:
• Launch the app. No logins or accounts are needed.
• Position your smartphone camera over the barcode, so the barcode fills the screen. There is no button to push. The app will automatically scan the barcode after it focuses.
• For best results, wipe dust and dirt away before attempting to scan.
• Use the Light button to illuminate the barcode if necessary.

Works great most of the time. Have used several others and this is my favorite. Has some problems with barcodes on dash in bright sun and when barcodes are placed on doorjams between doors. Overall very easy to use both day and night. Sometimes have problem reading codes but tested another app and it did the same thing so the problem seems to be with the camera.

Where can I find the data stored from my history, in the case I want to back up my data. Syncing history across devices would also be useful.

They have fixed the bug that plagued my wanting to use it. The app has no bs and is strait to the point. I brag/recommend this app to any one who works with cars vins.

Upon my original review this developer took it upon themselves to contact me via Google plus on a picture of my personal life of how I could not use the software the way I used my phone which is with three accounts. I'm sad to say I was attacked for the negative review I left. ##I've owned for almost a year now...what a joke. I have three email accounts through Gmail on here.one for work, Craig's list, and personal....come on.I've email the developer about this....I use this for my job.....now is UN useable

I use it every workday at a tire store to input VIN's into our database, and the e-mail function makes copy/pasting the code easy! No more time writing codes down and mixing up 5's and S's!

I use this app every day to capture vins and it works great. I share the vins to Google Keep and i can access them from my laptop. The only info you get is the year and make so if you're looking to get more info this app is not for you.

First day using it and notice a few things. On some of the newer cars it shows unknown and also some of the newer cars use the small square style barcode so it doesnt read. Overall i like it so far!

I bought this app but it is not working. Not getting vehicle info after scanning. I get samething as the LITE (FREE) version. I download and installed multiple times but still not working. I should get a refund for something that does not work as advertised.
