About DashClock Date Extension
If you're like me and prefer to hide DashClock's built-in clock (the time is in the status bar after all!), then this is the extension for you!
This DashClock extension simply displays your devices' current date. A customisable shortcut can be set to open when the extension is clicked. By default the extension will display the current date using your devices preferred format, however, an advanced option allows you to override the date format to one of your own using a standard java format pattern (see http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html)

Currently this extension is only available in English. If you can assist with translating it into other languages then I'd love to hear from you!

I love this date extension, I hid my clock in dashclock settings just to use this extension and it's great....but I would love the option to show the date before the month....(ex: 15-Sep-2014)....thanks

I'd give this another star if the date can be a shortcut to an app. I'd be able to get rid of the clock if this extension allows me to bring up the clock app (for alarms and timers and such). Thanks! UPDATE 7/27/14: Shortcut functionality added. +1 star. Thanks!
