Don't remember anything indicating app being subscription based. Only that it was FREE! Now app says I need to pay to view. Uninstalled .. never more will I believe FREE from Google play.

In spite of some reviews declaring a subscription is needed for this app to work, that simply is not true. I have never had a subscription to this newspaper and the app works perfectly.

Already am a subscriber to HDN, they give no means to sign up through the app for subscribers. Poor app anyway, think I will just cancel the paper and go with Hays Post from now on.

The HDN should have just put a charge on the app for its use. However, sense I now need a subscription to yard trash to view the news via my phone I will just stick with more up to date news sites.
