Pitman English, is a specialist English Language Training course which has been developed to assist users in building up their English Language skills in a fun, flexible environment.

With various centre locations, assistance from course advisors and desktop and mobile versions of the elearning course, learning English has never been simpler!

Improve your proficiency in key English Language areas including:

Before you being learning English Language, you will be asked to provide an idea of your English Language level, After-which you will be asked to take a short online test which will measure your overall understanding, this is what we call our Proficiency Assessment.

You can then choose from a list of topics and subject areas which interest you, this could be anything from travel, sports and technology, through to world news. The topics are regularly updated, so the course content is topical and relevant. Just to make sure that you continue to study at the correct level, you will be asked to take ‘Proficiency Assessments’ every 3 months, which assists in tracking your progress.

You can study up to 3 units or at any one time. The topic of the units is your choice, and there is a wide ranging selection available with subjects such as:

There are a number of online learning tools which will assist you in building your knowledge, and help you to track your personal progress, whilst studying Pitman English. These tools include: a ‘Word Bank’, a ‘Grammar Guide’, and you will also have access to online tutorial sessions with qualified tutors. Groups discussions is another exciting online feature of Pitman English, which will help to enhance your learning experience and build on your conversations skills.

When you feel you have reached your personal goal for proficiency, you can sit your final test and receive a Pitman Training Certificate.
