Didn't test this app yet in practice , but you guys ranting about the incorrect US legal limit please pay attention. The limit is 0.08% which is indeed 0.8 per-milles. It's easier to read permilles instead of %. The app does take absorption etc into account, only it would be vastly better if it allowed for entering drinks over over a schedule per each hour passed.

this app does not reflect the .08 legal blood alcohol limit in the United States and is based on some other index . Get the facts straight before it costs someone their lives or to go to jail for DUI . The best advise is if you plan to drink , don't plan to drive . Take a taxi , choose a designated driver , use public transportation , and never get into a vehicle with a driver who has been drinking .

It's a great predictor.

Wasn't accurate

The US limit is 0.08. Not 0.8. You are in a coma at a blood alcohol level of 0.4 that means that your brain is getting 60% of the oxygen it needs. This app is ridiculously flawed. Please fix.

You have to be sober to figure out how to use it.

This is not a breathalyzer, its a BAC calculator. I breathalyzer uses a sample of your breath, and detects the amount of alcohol in your blood. And the legal limit for driving intoxicated is .08 not .8. Completely untrustworthy. Would not use.

According to this after 5 beers in 2 hours im still below legal limit

The legal limit is .08 not .8!! How can one trust in this app when it doesn't display accurate alcohol levels. At .4 you're considered dead. This app is soooooo idiotic.

You have to move the decimal one space to the left. Other than that pretty cool!

This is a good idea in theory, but not in reality. Someone who has had to much to drink would have an issue remembering when they started drinking & how many drinks they had. Also a Long beach or long island ice tea is much stronger then a beer. I think it is good you have tried to at least do something.

Its fairly accurate and I like that it has various countries to choose from but I do wish their was a way to add drinks as you go instead of having to remember everything you drank at the end of the night.

Would be amazing if it remembered drinks and kept tally

5 stars if you allow units other than metric... Also US BAC is off by a factor of 10.

US limit is 0.08 not 0.8, you could fall into a coma at 0.3 - 0.4. Also please add tequila as a separate drink category.

Uh this app told me that the Max limit in the U.S. is 0.8 which would be 80% of my blood alcohol level would be alcohol, I don't think so. The actual limit is .08 as in 8%of the BAC.

I think it is a great idea because if your child sneaks and drink wine or beer u can test them out after a party where there has been drinks Logsn brooks

First, the legal limit to drive in the U.S. is .08, not .8%. Second, it says that at a maximum I would have a max BAC of 1.05%, I would be dead at this point, and I am a fairly large man. To figure this, I punched a casual night out, a 12 pack and a couple shots of whiskey over a 5 hour period, I agree that I would be over the legal limit to drive, but I am not slamming it all at the end of the night as your graph and calculator might suggest. It should figure that you drank steadily over the period that was specified, while this isnt always the case it would produce the more accurate results. Finally, allow the programming to put decimals in for the alcohol percent and amount, as a standard shot is 1.5 oz, and most beers do not have an even percentage of alcohol. Also, you should have a selection for alcohol by volume (more common) or alcohol by weight (less common, but still used in some places). All in all, your app needs a lot of work.

It shows Australia as being 0.5. It should be 0.05. Is the reading accurate?

R70%
by R####:

.08, not .8.

R70%
by R####:

BAC is percent of 1 percent. A BAC of .8 is 80% of 1 percent. Meaning that about .8% of your blood is alcohol. Your body would not function if anymore than 1% is alcohol.
