CCleaner

I like the simple UI and the stability of the app. I am less impressed by its performance. The main issue is that it accurately detects the cache files, but won't clean them. Attempting to manually clean them does nothing as the list of apps is not interactive; no items can be selected or viewed, and returning to the main screen confirms that the cache is untouched. Seems like one hell of an oversight.

For the laptop version, iam satisfied, but for this one, I haven't used it long enough to be able to objectively rate it. I am particularly not yet satisfied with it's cache cleaning; it's like nothing is being removed. However I like the system info and storage analyzer. I hope I will be able to come back and give it a better rating

Used to love this app but does not do anything since I went to Nougat OS!! cache​ never cleans anymore? which is odd.?? still use on PC which I give 5 stars but now I can only give 2 stars on Android. Shame used to clean perfect. Now I'm hearing it was distributing a virus!! Will uninstall till I hear good things dam shame was a good app!

I would give it a 5 star rating but it's very very slow. The computer version works great but this mobile version just isn't there on my phone anyhow. When you hit analyse it takes almost 4 mind to come up with anything and no indication of it's still working now or hung up.

Doesn't seem to work like it used to. Not going to upgrade to pro if the app no longer works as it once did and what is the point of being "CrapCleaner" if you are unable to clean out cache, either get with the times or get left in the past!!

Used to be perfect and, for the most part, it's still extremely useful. However, since a few updates ago, it no longer detects (and therefore is unable to stop) running processes on my Xperia Z2. I've tried reinstalling the app and even factory reset the phone, but still have the same issue. It all works flawlessly on my Nexus 7, though.

I actually paid for this app because of all the great reviews. I am not a wizard by any means but I am very tech-savvy and I have to say this app sucks! It doesn't clear out any of the cache, it doesn't clear any of the browsing history Nothin! Totally worthless, don't waste your money. By the way I'm running Oreo.

Unlike in windows, the options to clear cache is easily visible on android. I dont know why people even install this. Another useless fake speed booster junk app. Had to download just to criticise this piece of trash app.

You broke the app. The list of Apps sorted by Cache size after Analyze is gone. That was the only reason I used CCleaner, and you took that feature away. WTF?

The description for this app claims that it can clean SMS messages individually or in bulk, however the app itself has no such feature. The only mention of SMS anywhere in the entire interface is a listing under manual cleaning apps which simply opens my SMS app. Review dropped to one start until the developer removes this completely false claim from the product listing.

Has been working great until I upgraded to Oreo. Every time I try to analyse now it just crashes. I've sent feedback every time but it is still not working. Edit: This bug has been fixed however now I never have the option to clear my cache which is the only thing I used this app for. Will update my review when this is fixed.

Now updated to work with Oreo so review changed to reflect this. Only having 32 gig of storage can occasionally lead to concerns especially if you try a lot of apps, always good to clean up the clutter and this does it brilliantly. Thanks the updating, I missed using this.

THIS IS THE ONE! This is the only cleaner app that I wholeheartedly stand by. Remember check the settings before you use it, because this one really works. I use it every day, and have configured it to even remove ads that other apps download when I use them online. It is small, simple, and has very little advertisement that never gets in the way or interrupts. It is the only cleaner app that has a 5 star rating from me, and those are hard to get. If I could rate it higher I would. Piriform deserves an award for this app! If you're tired of the rest, move on and try the best. Seriously, all the other ones I have tried are scams and junk. This one actually does what a cleaner app should.

Used on our home computer for years. l have trusted the app to clean useless and junk files away easily. I am now using on an older samsung phone. I just tick what is to be cleared and it leaves the rest. (A lot of time saved, most functions in one place.) I also love the added tools. Thank you

Used to be good but increasingly unreliable. Can I even trust this app. Crashes on most cleaning tasks while the new (pointless) animation proceeds to hog resources.

Have used it on my PC for years and it's always been reliable and useful, until now. Malicious and invasive software was found hidden in the code and has compromised the integrity of this application. I have not seen any apology nor a statement reinforcing their intent. Not even an admission that it happened. It is unacceptable.

Seems odd that they haven't sorted out cache cleaning on Marshmallow yet; others are perfectly able to do it! Other than this annoyance, I quite like it.

No select all button? Imagine deleting 6GB of data by tapping each file. Also app crashes when no internet. "Tap here to view and delete manually" but tap on app icon does nothing.

So why does it persistently want to connect to the internet WHEN NOT IN USE. Is it spyware? A previously good App ruined by Avast. EDIT - It continues to send packets of info to Avast.

CCleaner far away better than this copycat Clean Master hype tool apps. I've been use and trust CCleaner from Piriform since 10 years ago! It's an ultimate cleaner.

Been using CCleaner for years; works great. Very few issues ever. Doesn't bork your system. Top 5 freeware on my list!

Have this on my PC>LOVE IT. Unfortunately it freezes while analyzing,and clean button remains greyed out.Wasted $3.99 on Pro edition because I expected the same fine product a the PC version. SAD!!!!. Uninstalled.

For the past 3-4 updates the app has been acting weirdly. Whenever I tap on the widget it shows 0mb saved. I have purchased this app but still it's showing the same. Developer kindly look into this.

This is a great program on the computer, and it's an equally great app for removing cache. Portrait only is unacceptable. I can't leave this on my tablet.

I've always loved this program on pc. When I saw they had an android version I downloaded it immediately. I gave it 3 stars due to them adding ads to it. So much for it being ad free. I wonder if it had something to do with piriform being bought.

If you have a tracker and ID number in your pocket. I mean smartphone. This app is a must. I use it in conjunction with a good anti-virus (Webroot / Malewarebytes), a solid VPN and keyboard encryption.

It worked at first. The next time use i cannot delete big files found by ccleaner. Please fix this. Not worth the pay

I have a note 8 and the app does not function properly will not clean all of the catche even when attempting to do so manually

It doesn't clean the cache. Error comes up and says press this button to fix it next time but it never does.

Awesome app, I use it alongside SD Maid. The two of them keep my phone fast and squeaky clean. As far as the reported malware is concerned: ONLY THE WINDOWS VERSION WAS AFFECTED! It just goes to show how selective people are at hearing and reading. This app is not affected in any way, shape, or form. I wonder how many people thought, 'Oh mer gorsh, CCleaner for Windows had a backdoor found, I must go immediately to leave bad feedback on everything I can". It's rather bad that I have to deal with so many clients calling in with so much misinformation. It's called DUE DILIGENCE, for a reason. In other words, do your $%*** research before you go yacking your mouths.

La aplicación ya no trabaja como antes, no elimina el caché de las apps en mi versión de Android, ni carpetas vacías, etc. Espero que mejore ya que tengo la versión PRO.

This now at least opens in Oreo but when it runs it finds nothing whereas other cleaners do. What has happened to this app?

I like it, but there are lots of apps whose cache can't be cleared due to system restrictions. I understand that, but at least when you go to the list of apps and their cache, tapping on the app should open its settings page where you can clear its cache. I can see there is an 'i' in a circle, but it doesn't do anything.

Works as charme, would be better to have the possibility to froze auto-startup on some apps

Can't clean out 95% of app cache. Have to go through my phone and do it manually so what's the point of the app? Also never cleans anything out on the first try. Usually have to run it 4 or 5 times before seeing any results...and this wasn't the free version. Borderline useless.

one thing is missing...a backup and a log for disabled apps(specialy for sistem apps) , to be reimplemented and accounted for if need it.

Uninstalled, once the desperate Google ads appear the app stops working....and no point in an app that doesn't do what it says....Clean....which it doesn't.....another good app turned into a joke for ads which NO ONE clicks on. Bye

I have used the PC version for years and the Android version is as good. Does what it says with no muss or fuss. Very useful app.

I am very happy to know that it is worth it for the first time I've never had any problems with my phone after I got it cleaned now it is up and running a little bit faster than it used to be
