Pioneer Connect

All the reviews are negative but I thought I'd give this a chance since my phone and my deck have been on the market for a year now, but still nothing seems to be compatible. Nothing happens and the widget is an error message. Very disappointing Pioneer. I will be uninstalling and considering s deck from a different manufacturer.

Bluetooth connection is awesome simple --works phenomenally great. No idea why I'd fumble with USB cable AND app. Tried it cause I need to charge phone's battery through anyway and possibly better than BT --USB app ain't no betta than BT boys & girls.

Doesn't work with the AVH3200BT. The app just puts the device into disk mode. I can't play the files on the head unit because they aren't recognized and I can't play them through the phone as the sd card is now mounted to the head unit.

I bought one of your top models hoping to use this app with my xperia cause I'm not listening with a piece of crap apple device, and it doesn't work! I'm not using my battery life over Bluetooth either. pioneer makes good stuff but so does sony never again.

Does nothing. Using Kyocera brigadier and pioneer DEH_P4000UB. If you go to the Pioneer site and search you will find nothing about this app. It may be due to the poor search engine on their site. If I could give this a negative star rating I would.

When you decide to create an application that actually works please let us know. This doesn't work. You should take it down - or simply fire the engineer that created it. Very bad pioneer very bad.

I've tried every app to attempt to get my android phone to work with the app deck and it simply will not play. This is why I miss my iPhone it just worked. Also I can't believe that this deck has Bluetooth but can't stream audio. My deck that's 3 years old a pioneer Avic Z130BT does this flawlessly. Waste of money. Phone is a Samsung galaxy note running jelly bean.

Absolutely USELESS! No updates in a ridiculously long time... Pioneer has failed to both keep up with new device(s), and firmware updates. Some users have been lucky enough to have the app work for them, but most have been using either older Pioneer head units, older phone models, or a combination of both. Luckily it still does charge the S3 via USB (w/o the app) and I can stream the media via bluetooth. Also, software conflicts when app is installed.

This app is useless. I'd upgrade to the newest pioneer dvd deck (AVH-X4600BT) amd this app don't even work. Better off using bluetooth or mirrorlink.

Utter waste of time, my next head unit will be a Sony... wish I'd have realised before forking out £90 for my stereo. As others have said here, it said it was android compatible but it's just not! Grrrr not happy! :-(

I have an older in dash unit that out of the box only supports apple products. I figured I would give this a try. When connected it attempts to read and displays "format read" follow by a prompt to "check USB" I should try with a newer cable.

Pioneer should be ashamed. Bought a car stereo purely based on the feature of being able to connect my android phone. It doesn't work. Completely useless. Awful company. No online help at all. Lies and false advertising and not even a half decent stereo . Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

It doesnt work or do anything. Im very disappointed. I have a deh-x16ub. And it sucks.im very dissapointed i love pioneer but now im thinking of buying a kenwood radio at least there android app works

Tried to sync with nexus 4 but the player doesn't recognize the device . Pioneer 2500BT packaging and box says Android compatible but nothing works. The only thing that works is Pandora threw Bluetooth. Would be a nice if app if functioned. One star till revised

I have an avh 3100 double din. This app doesn work with any of my 4 android devices. 3 2.3 androids. 1 4.1

I figured it out! On your Pioneer radio go to menu options select systems,then go to control app, it should work. The only downside is if you lose power or disconnect go to your app manager and clear the cache on that app and it should work again.

Sadly, Pioneer, a music giant refuses to support our Android devices giving direct support and working apps only to iOS. It sucks because I really like Pioneer and want this to work with my devices. Update your software, Pioneer.

Does not work with Samsung Galaxy Note and DEH-3500. Absolutely nothing happens. If I had downloaded this around October 31st I would have thought it was a trick.

No support for my phone would love to have this work. Please update to work with Samsung phones other then the s3 thanks

The scathing reviews do not do justice to the horrible level these Pioneer apps sink to. It boggles my mind to imagine what in the world the developers must have (NOT) done to bring this abomination into the world. Beta testing? They must not have even BEGUN Alpha testing. I wish I had a better command of the English language so I might fully express how pitiful these Pioneer apps are.

No good with Galaxy S4, I thought pioneer was better than this. Does not show any sine of doing what it Is supposed to guess I need a Kenwood ( DONT LEAVE RUNNING) Destroys battery life

I don't understand why Pioneer promote their devices with Android label but only support Bluetooth connection. If they can not do as they do with stupid apple devices than at least they should warn end user that it is not compatible with android devices!

I have a s4 active and just bought a pioneer deh-x56hd and I'm very unhappy with it not letting me use my cellphone as a mp3 player

This app has zero functionality, and the worst part is that the people in Pioneer don't respect their customers enough to respond to their feedback. I'm not buying a Pioneer product ever again.

Just one screen and its to auto connect. Would like an app from then to make it compatible through usb.

Doesn't work, Pioneer is marketing Android compatibility with their stereos and charging extra. If I'd known this I wouldn't have bought the stereo I did.

As much as I love looking at a black screen, I don't need this app to provide one for me. Whenever something did pop up, it always said "not connected", when I definitely was.

Worst app for avhx7500bt.pioneer understand electronics,just not how people can use them.hopefully someone like sony will buy them

Setup phone connection as USB mass storage and it works a treat. Are people setting their phones up correctly...

Pioneer really needs to step it up on this problem leaving droid users in the dust. Bought brand new scion with upgraded touch unit and its not even comparable 600.00 down the drain. I hate apple

I have the AVH-X8500BHS . I also have a Samsung galaxy s5. I have bought the kit that is supposed to work with my phone. I still cannot sync my phone using the mhl adapter via USB. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You products seem to be more iPhone friendly then to any android phone. When is pioneer going to fix This? Because so far I feel like I have spent all this money for nothing. If pioneer is going to put out a product like this then It would behoove you to make it easier for either phone.

My iPhone died and I wanted to try the freedom of Android. Well thanks Pioneer for making the most useless app I've gotten so far! And why the heck doesn't my P3400BH read new phones!! I'll never buy Pioneer again, lame...

Pioneer AVH-X1500DVD still doesn't work after enabling "Auto-Connect" in the Pioneer Connect Version 1.0 app. I was really hoping this app would fix the "incompatible USB" (Pioneer displayed error) issue with my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 and Pioneer AVH-1500DVD device. Very disappointing indeed, hence the 1 star rating. How many millions of these 2 devices are on the market and the devices can't talk to each other? Sounds to me like an interoperability issue. Hopefully firmware / ROM / app / update(s) will do the trick and it is not hardware related. Nice to see this direction. Obviously preferred on both sides of the fence. Please keep trying to resolve and please also keep us updated. We are happy to test updates.

Some phones require usb mass storage to be turned on in order for headunit to controll the music as not all phones have proper usb drivers I have a Samsung galaxy legend and does not have a mass storage option only mtp or ptp so if I download a exe file i can't open it with usb cord example cannot use Kenwood controlle app due to the reason of no mass storage driver for unit to read the device

I have spent many hours trying to get my samsung note 2 to connect to my headunit and have failed dismally. It says the note 2 is supported on the website as well. Sort your rubbish out pioneer. Your new model head units do not support current mobile phones. In a year everyone will have a head unit with no support. The head unit is unable to browse the music via bluetooth and will not un pause the music when you get in the car. After all these complaints they still haven't fixed any issues.

It used to work half the time but now doesn't work at all got a new phone same as I had before galaxy s2 installed again and nothing! It just says na/usb when you connect it. Would give it negative stars if o could!

I got a Galaxy Note with ICS and the AVH-3400BH...the program doesnt do anything the only way i can hear music is if its on bluetooth. Its kinda of a low blow having to replace this 2012 model for the 2013 because the bring compability with androids.

Dose not work at all pioneer has failed horribly i bought there raidio specificly because it says it works with android well it dosent. stereo is DEH-X5600HD Phone is lg optimus pro
