Birds of Britain and Ireland for Android
Good and useful little app. Will be useful when I'm out in the field. Like that the calls are included too.
I got this as my interest in wildlife is just developing, so it's great for getting to know what birds there are around, how they look & sound plus other info about them. I'm a bit surprised though that there're no entries for Swallow or Swift & am hoping there's not too many others missing, I was also puzzled why Snow Bunting came up when I typed "phe..." when searching for Pheasant. Anyway, I assume (hope) it's a work in progress & will continue to use it
Very useful app, easy to use and great having songs as well as images. Lots of scope for adding more species so could get even better

Swallow not listed yet
Very comprehensive seems to have all you need in 1 app
Absolutely brilliant. Good info, good images
Good but one or two birds missing.
Rubbish
Becoming a useful resource with much better photos and information, Still generally aimed at beginners but with additional news feed from Twitter its potential is improving.
Good sounds, but blurry photos, ..........I have had the new update and now given it 5 stars at is 100%bettrr
This app is great clear photos in general loads of text great for all birders
A great app great for beginners and experienced birders too should be even better when updates come out too even gives u calls too which is fab if u hear anything odd in the field
Good solid start to a new app. Only 3 stars as saving the rest for later updates. Looking forward to what the developer does in the future
Yes, it is in it's early stages, but a great app to use in the field instead of carrying an ID book around. Pictures are great as well as the calls, and to be able to use it offline is a bonus. Plenty of info which is very useful for the beginner to the experienced. Plenty of scope and for a few pennies is definitely a handy tool to have on your phone.
Absolutely brilliant. Good info, good images
Great field guide with stunning photos and bird sounds, very helpful.
For a few pence, it seems like good value. A work in progress I understand so it will be interesting to see how it improves.
From a very brief look through no tufted duck, scaup or treecreeper for example. Can't enlarge the pictures and even the name of the bird covers some of the pictures... expected a lot more. There is a huge market for a decent birds of britain/ireland/Europe app and I'm still looking
I put this on my tablet only to find its similar but so many things have been removed from the version before for my phone
The App is a solid start for a UK based birding guide. I believe there are lots more features to come which will further enhance the quality of this app. V exciting
