Plane Finder works by picking up real time ADS‐B signals used by aircraft to transmit positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS‐B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS‐B is increasing all of the time. Traditional radar type data in near real time is also included for North America; this is subject to a short time delay.

I had this on my last phone and loved it but having downloaded this today, there is no info, just shows where planes are but not from - to info or what plane is. I can see or hear the plane, I want to know where it's going

In a comparison against flight radar 24, this one is more accurate because it shows planes that land a bit faster where as fr24 still has them in the air for minutes later.I live near a international airport.this app beats all the other 5 ive tryed-I'm gonna buy the paid version.

Cheats. They ask to install this app on the website, to get more details, then spring a surprise saying details are available in the paid version. Why don't you say so upfront?

Thinks my S7 is in London. Even after moving map to Seattle and then exiting the application and coming back it again thinks that I am in London. Settings does not have anything related to location so that's not the problem. Too many other great apps to mess with this.

Fairly accurate, I have tested it with local planes and seems pretty good but all the flights in the South Atlantic and South Pacific oceans are wrong according to when google said they should land. Will uninstall, battery hog.

I have plane finder on my lenovo yoga (windows) and it is excellent. On my lenovo tablet (Android,) and my iPad mini it works OK. There is definitely a difference with this app on differing operating systems. Why?

Cessna just flew over my house but didn't show up.

Loving this app. My 2yr old loves to see the aircrafts fly. I'm using this app to track them and take him to the roof so he can enjoy the sight. It's not accurate, but servers my niche purpose.
