pinBlock - Hide Promoted Pins for Android
Installed it. When I attempt to open the app it a "Web page not found" message pops up." When I open pinterest the same crap I don't want is still there. UPDATE (7/7/2016): I tried again on multiple devices. When I open the app and login with fb I get a blank white screen with no options. This on updated Samsung Galaxy 7 edge, updated Galaxy 5 and Samsung S2 tab. No message from fb telling me about a new login. Bummer - promoted adds and "picked for you" has killed Pinterest.
Pinterest had filled up to 75% of my feed with ads or "picked for you" pins I had zero interest in. The newest update removed my ability to hide and/or give feedback on any of them. I was on the verge of giving up when I tried this as a last ditch effort to actually still be able to use the app for what I'd intended. It works perfectly. My feed is now actually what I follow, not what someone is paying to show me. Worth the $1.99.
You can't use the back button to get to the previous page without the app closing. So if you pin something, and then want to return to the search page, or home, you can't. You have to click on the Pinterest icon and go through everything you just scrolled through. There is a banner at the bottom telling you to use the Pinterest app because it's "faster and way more fun" that won't go away.
Used to work, now doesn't. Too bad because it was great
Used to work but doesn't anymore
Thank you so much for this app! I installed, logged in and no promoted or picked for you pins!!! I don't mind launching your app to view, shows my feed and gives me access to my messages and PIN boards....Please I hope you continue to update this project....we need it lol!!! :-)
Edit: I have been able to login. It works just as advertised. I would love to eventually have it allow me to pin from the main page rather than clicking on what I want to pin and going to a separate screen. Also a working back button. Right now when I back out from a pin it takes me out of the app.
Nexus 6p on Project FI. Does not work well / frustrating / needs improving w/o the hassles of running it.
didnt work.
Couldn't even open it, so disappointed.

I open the pinblock app on my Samsung galaxy and a message appears that "pinterest works best through the pinterest app," I ignore the message, and I can still scroll through pins. But clicking on any pin results in a page not found message, which crashes the pinblick app. pretty useless.
