Wi-Fi Analytics Tool for Android
Handy for checking 2.4ghz channel interference and some other metrics but wouldn't pick up on active WiFi connections and does not support 5ghz bands.
I installed on my Google Nexus 5X. Everyone I launch it, it crashes.
Works well but says "Not Connected" even though my phone is connected.
Ladies and gents, Once you learn just how crowded your wifi router's channel is with this app, you can also see which channels are free of other users in "the hood". You learn how to change your routers channel and your Skpe Video calls will be superb. Your Android device will speed along the internet so much faster. This app is a great tool. You don't know what you are missing until you make those adjustments.... Woweeee
Does not work on Samsung Galaxy S4. It always says not connected even though it is and just 10 get from the wireless router. Without a connected status you cannot adjust access point or extender to the best channel. The developer does not respond to emails or read the feedback from other Galaxy owners. I will have to uninstall unless fixed.
This software is as useful as this companies claims of increased distance effective WiFi. I cannot get it to scan AND say it's connected, I don't see anything useful like a signal coverage map, so yea. Returning it along with your not so cheap but very cheaply build 12 dbi omni antenna. I see you constantly tell folks to call support. If all yer stuff like this were effective, we wouldn't need to. Don't bother installing folks. Try WiFi Analyzer by farproc instead.
All good, except when trying to go to the Channel Interference page. App ALWAYS crashes, all other pages are fine. Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. A fix would be wonderful. Have sent crash reports.
Screens are cleaner than NetGear's WiFi Analytics, but offers less information and does not seem to detect weaker wireless signals reliably. Does not show my 5 gigahertz broadcast at all.
This app used to work but now I'm having issues where it doesn't stay connected or even connect. Very good app when it works. But no good to me now so I'm uninstalling.
After bought this Amped|Wireless from Samclub. Setup per instructions for Mac and Android Galaxy S7 edge. At first setup from Mac was easy but after was connected is working however any browsers won't work after trying go back to settings. Then installed app for Android of Wi-Fi Analytics tool that only shows wifi scanner. So where are the rest of features which are missing. What up with this product doesn't do any good as advertised? If wifi range extender doesn't do it job after testing, I'll return it.
The app is great and worked flawlessly with previous versions of Android. However, with the upgrade to 6.0 Marshmallow, the app will crash every time the Channel Interference sub-menu is selected.
This app does nothing on my Samsung 5. I connected to my Amped WiFi but the app shows not connected. I click on it and it asks if I want to connect even though I already am connected.
Used to provide lots of useful info. Seems broken now. Won't actually connect to Wi-Fi. Shows SSID, channel, and signal strength - everything on the opening screen. That's it.
Always trusted Amped wirless & products! This app is disappointing when compared to similar companies that offer an app like this but with more features to view your router settings! It could use a few more enhancements as the router login can take a horrendous amount of time to change any settings.. IT would be great if AMPED had more features built in there app!
I think there´s something wrong with the app. I´m conected to my network, actually an Amped WAP and the APP is displaying a "Status: Not conected" message.
Every time I try to change screens it crashes on a LG G5 with 6.0... I worked fine on my old G3... Wish you guys would get it figured out...
I'm running android 4.3 on an unrooted galaxy s3 and even though I'm connected to my router, this app shows me as not connected.
Doesn't work well on my Motorola Triumph with Android 2.2. Most of the options freeze up when accessed. Oddly, the signal stats for the channel I'm most interested in -- my own wi-fi network -- never update after the first reading even though the other channels update just fine. Giving the app 2 stars because it does install and run, but needs some work.

I am unable to see my current channel when viewing channel interference which makes that piece somewhat useless. Otherwise good.
Says I'm not connected.. I know I am because my phone shows up on "my connected" devices list on my router! Please fix this app! The computer "windows" program version works well... I wish this would also.
I bought your 2.4ghz 1 watt Wi-Fi booster. Awesome product. An easy 10db gain in signal throughout the whole house. No more dead spots. I recommend it to anyone looking to increase their signal. The app is and does exactly what it says it does. Allowed me to easily see and over power (with the booster) the neighbors Wi-Fi signal so I may have the desired channels for the best flow rates on my network. And with the extra power there is no more competing for the best Wi-Fi channel. Just take the one I want.
The app is great and worked flawlessly with previous versions of Android. However, with the upgrade to 6.0 Marshmallow, the app will crash every time the Channel Interference sub-menu is selected.
Works well, but not updated to modern Android UI (uses old-style menus). Requires Location privilege to scan wifi strength. Presumably this is because it doesn't actually connect to each network and Google's location services use nearby wifi networks for coarse-grained location.
I tried this on two different devices. (Galaxy Tab S SM-T700 (Exynos Octa (cortex A15, cortex a7)) arm7, and a Keedox media player (allwinner a10-20) arm7) It will not connect to a wifi network or recognize that it is already connected to one. Also, there is no label telling you which network is being monitored on the signal strength meter. Otherwise I really would like to like this app. If these issues are fixed, I will buy it and change the rating. I really like the layout of the screens. They are easy to read. The information is detailed enough to be useful. I have tried several other similar apps, this is the closest to what I need. It is also the easiest to use so far.
I switched Wi-Fi Monitoring by Alexander Kozyukov because it shows channel usage for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I knew this app my 2.4GHz network was on the most channel, and figured the router might do the same for 5GHz. Wi-Fi Monitoring let me conform that, pick a better channel.
It says my wifi is not connected while actually it is connected. Veloxity is much more better in telling connected or not.
Compared to WiFi Analyzer, this looks like it has similar features presented nicely, but its information is often not useable. For one example, the line graph has no labels identifying the access points. It also has obvious bugs, including never acknowledging that I am connected to my wireless network. I haven't tried the widget, but I presume that might be a reason to try this one over others.
Like many other reviews, app says not connected even after "scanning". No response from Dev. Don't bother..
App always says "not connected" when I am connected. Information useful for relocating my range extender
I would definitely give this app a higher rating if it could only connect to my network. Looking at the comments from other users there are complaints about connectivity that go way back. Obviously the app provider is not listening to it's customers. I am sitting in front of my router and the signal strength is optimal in the list of available networks, however this app cannot connect. I'm going to keep the app for 30-days. If there is no fix provided in that time period, I'm uninstalling.
Wi-Fi Analytics is little more than eye candy when it comes to actual functionality. One has to doubt the accuracy of the metrics (signal strength) it provides when the app does not even recognize that the device it is running on is actually connected (status: not connected is constantly displayed). The designers also need to think a little about scaling the various displays to more realistically represent the various signal strengths. For example, on the scanner display, -20 dBm and -60 dBm are both at 100% of the chart length while -90 dBm reaches about 50%. The signal graph has a max. of -30 dBm and a minimum of -100 dBm and consequently, my own signal is off the chart until the receiver is 40' away. It would be handy to be able to assign a particular color to your own signal so you could pick it out of a crowded display. The signal meter does allow one to monitor a particular network but it should also display the network's name as well. To sum up; cute but useless, it hardly provided more information than the Android Wi-Fi and Network settings screen.
While the scan display works, nothing else does. It relies on the default wireless manager ui for connecting, which causes problems.
App does not show information if you're connected to 5 ghz networks. Works fine if you're still using 2.4 ghz single band router.
Wish I'd known about tools like this months ago. Thanks to the app I've put my router on a different channel and the benefits are so clear. Kudos to the developers and yet another wonderful use of a smartphone!
This free app was introduced to aid the developer's hardware router users, but the information is useful to *every* wifi users.
This looks nice,, but i don't like apps that claim to be "free" when they arec actually ad sopported and don't CLEARLY state that in the permissions.
Stumbled across this, learned about channel interfere and now my wireless problems are solved! Thanks guys for this comprehensive app!
I was having problems with my wifi coverage, used this app to identify intereference and consequently select the best channel to use. Problem solved!

This is a very handy tool for any IT personnel or PC hobbyist. Easier to use on the fly than Puppy Linux or Kali Linux. I bought a range extender from the company. And this app helped me debug my network topology.
