Piano Practice Assistant for Android
Great concept. Entry of data could be better. A way of changing suggested practice times for a group of sections all at once would save a lot of time. Also annoying is the fact that using your phone for anything else exits the app rather than pausing or continuing. Very irritating as going back into the app causea it to move on to another piece. Still, incredibly useful.

This app really helps to structure and organize my piano practice. A few of the initial bugs have been fixed and I really like the app!
Very useful for making sure practice sessions are structured. Can see improvement each time I use this. Nearly 5 stars, but entering & updating pieces not v friendly. Also would be great to have a pause button during practice.
The perfect antidote to aimless noodling. If you're anything like me then your repertoire is full of pieces that you used to know, or that you know the first few measures. This app will help you attend to the most important things in your practice schedule. Suitable for all instruments. Absolutely Brilliant.
I love the concept behind this app and it is proving very useful. However, the interface for entering in information is definitely difficult to work with. For instance, it would be loads easier if you could delete sections or edit their names without having to navigate to their editor forms. It would also be nice if you could copy sections in the same way you can copy pieces. And it would be fantastic if you could easily practice a piece or section in all 12 keys (this is crucial for me as a jazz musician)
I love this app. It is great for practicing, just very front loaded with the data entry for practice pieces, and unfortunately the interface for entering them really isn't the best. Hopefully it will improve in future versions.
I find it very helpful for memorization. I also appreciate that it's based on sound practice principles. The developer is a pleasure to work with; he's helpful and responsive to suggestions.
Very useful spaced repetition app for musicians. Not just for pianists.

I use this for guitar music, not for piano music. I really don't know why the App is called "piano practice" because it seems to me it works for any band instrument equally well. I'm a member of a swing jazz band, and a rock band, so keeping proficient on songs, as well as practicing more efficiently is very important to me. The App does seem to do what it claims and suggests songs to play that perhaps I haven't played in a while. I haven't used it long enough to know if it's simply choosing the songs I picked to practice or not, but I presume it is more intelligent in making choices then simply the songs I chose up front. I like that I have a list of all the songs that I know on hand. I like that I can use it for other practice activities by creating a "song": "practice major scale", for example. I don't like that the song list doesn't sort. I have over 100 songs entered, so finding a song can be quite tedious. Songs go in as entered with the latest entered on the top. I don't like that there is no way to select-all, or unselect-all songs to practice. It is very tedious to select/unselect every song individually.
